The 2016 Nepal Demographic and Health Survey (NDHS) is the fifth survey of its kind to be implemented in the country as part of the worldwide Demographic and Health Surveys (DHS) Program. It was implemented by New ERA under the aegis of the Ministry of Health (MOH) of the Government of Nepal with the objective of providing reliable, accurate, and up-to-date data for the country.

Los corregimientos de La Boquilla, Punta Canoa y Arroyo de Piedra están conformados principalmente por comunidades afrocolombianas organizadas en la actualidad por Consejos Comunitarios rurales de comunidades negras, reconocidas por la alcaldía del distrito de Cartagena de Indias y por el Ministerio del Interior de Colombia.

Land information system (LIS) is a convenient tool in the legal, administrative and economic decision-making process. The data of LIS includes: cartographic basis of spatial land datasets, thematic spatial land datasets and a variety of important information from the cadastre, registers and information systems. Lithuanian Land Information System is a developed and expanding field of information technology, which could be more used by the public users of Lithuania and other countries.

This study investigates the attendant effect of unregulated land acquisition by governments and investment partners, forceful dispossession and displacement of individuals and communities in the era of globalization and wealth creation by increasingly capitalist regimes in southern Nigeria. The investigation of the trajectory of wealth and conflict resulting from this phenomenon is the key focus of this research.

Esta é a sétima edição da série “Desafios para Moçambique” do IESE, iniciada em 2010, com o objectivo de contribuir para a análise e debate público de desafios económicos, sociais e polí- ticos considerados relevantes. O livro contém 14 artigos, organizados em quatro partes: Política, Economia, Sociedade e Moçambique no Mundo. À semelhança da terceira edição (2012), na preparação da presente edição os coordenadores consideraram pertinente convidar os autores a relacionarem os seus artigos com uma temática principal.

Este programa foi elaborado em atendimento ao Acórdão do Tribunal de Contas da União (n° 1942/2015) que versa sobre Governança de Solos. A Embrapa e, em especial, a Embrapa Solos se articularam para montar um grupo de trabalho multi-institucional, que elaborou o programa a partir de workshops presenciais e a distância.

This edited volume brings together the work of scholars from different disciplines including sociology, political science and anthropology, and analyses how global institutions are embedded in local contexts within development aid. It examines theoretical and empirical implications of the diffusion and anchoring of world polity institutions at the local and global levels.

This paper is an abridged version of an earlier scoping study entitled Sri Lanka Country Report: Land Watch Asia Study prepared in 2010 by the Sarvodaya Shramadana Movement through the support of the International Land Coalition (ILC). It is also written as a contribution to the Land Watch Asia (LWA) campaign to ensure that access to land, agrarian reform and sustainable development for the rural poor are addressed in development.
