FAO Documento técnico de pesca 465: En el documento se examinan tanto los aspectos jurídicos como económicos de la gestión de cada una de las diferentes categorías de poblaciones de peces compartidas. Los análisis están basados principalmente en los resultados de la Consulta de Expertos Noruega/FAO sobre la Ordenación de poblaciones de peces compartidas, celebrada en octubre de 2002, y en particular en las conclusiones de los numerosos estudios de caso presentados en la consulta.

Adopted by the 127th Session of the FAO Council, November 2004. The objective of the Voluntary Guidelines is to provide practical guidance to States in their implementation of the progressive realization of the right to adequate food in the context of national food security, in order to achieve the goals of the World Food Summit Plan of Action. They provide an additional instrument to combat hunger and poverty and to accelerate attainment of the Millennium Development Goals.

This is the 19th of a series of Working Papers prepared for the Pro-Poor Livestock Policy Initiative (PPLPI). The purpose of these papers is to explore issues related to livestock development in the context of poverty alleviation. Livestock is vital to the economies of many developing countries. Animals are a source of food, more specifically protein for human diets, income, employment and possibly foreign exchange. For low-income producers, livestock can serve as a store of wealth, provide draught power and organic fertiliser for crop production and a means of transport.

Это руководство по гендерным вопросам и доступа к земле, был подготовлен для поддержки земельных администраторов в правительств и их партнерами в гражданском обществе, которые участвуют в обеспечении доступа земель и управления земельными ресурсами  вопросы развития сельских районов. Le présent guide intitulé « Accès à l’espace rural et administration des terres après des conflits violents » a été élaboré pour aider les spécialistes concernés à remettre sur pied les régimes fonciers et l’administration foncière dans les pays émergeant de conflits violents. Il est particulièrement difficile, dans de telles situations, d’assurer un accès sans danger à la terre. Les conflits violents entraînent généralement le déplacement d’une grande partie de la population. À l’issue du conflit, certains de ceux qui regagnent leur foyer trouvent leur bien occupé par d’autres.

El objetivo de las Directrices voluntarias es proporcionar orientación práctica a los Estados respecto de sus esfuerzos por lograr la realización progresiva del derecho a una alimentación adecuada en el contexto de la seguridad alimentaria nacional, con objeto de alcanzar los objetivos del Plan de Acción de la Cumbre Mundial sobre la Alimentación. Las Directrices constituyen un instrumento adicional para luchar contra el hambre y la pobreza y acelerar la consecución de los objetivos de desarrollo del Milenio.

Depuis 1970, l’agglomération de Libreville, à l’instar des autres villes de l’Afrique subsaharienne, connaît une occupation spatiale qui s’opère par les initiatives individuelles. Malgré la panoplie de textes législatifs et réglementaires qui régissent le foncier et l’urbanisme, la pratique la plus répandue d’appropriation du sol reste la squatterisation et l’urbanisation spontanée. Cette forme d’occupation territoriale et la rapide croissance démographique de Libreville ont favorisé la formation des quartiers sous-intégrés et l’extension incontrôlée de la ville.

This paper considers possible answers to these difficult questions by focusing on two issues: the evolution of legal norms in response to both endogenous and exogenous changes, and the role that African customary law and indigenous dispute resolution has played in promoting coordination and cooperation among group members, thereby reducing violent conflict. This paper explores legislative actions taken by the Nigerian government that impede the continued evolution of these relatively elastic customary legal norms.
