Studies have estimated that as much as 65 percent of the world’s land is held under customary, collective-tenure systems.

Our main objective in this research was to examine the role of land ownership in the choice of household livelihood in the rural Mekong Delta region, Vietnam. Using secondary data on rural households in the Mekong Delta region, we use cluster analysis techniques to classify livelihoods currently adopted by rural households.

Since the commencement of land registration in Nigeria, less than 3% of land, mainly in urban areas had been registered. This is partly due to the prevalent sporadic method. Sporadic procedure of obtaining title is associated with many problems which include time and cost.
