Cette troisième réunion du groupe de travail Biodiversité, Habitat et Qualité de l’Eau a été ouverte conjointement par M. Birane Sambe, coordinateur régional du projet CCLME et M. Abou Bamba, secrétaire de la Convention d’Abidjan. M. Sambe a remercié l’ensemble des participants d’avoir effectué le déplacement. Selon lui, l’épidémie d’Ebola a causé beaucoup de perturbations de part le monde.

Udhëzimet parashtrojnë parimet dhe standardet e pranuara botërisht të praktikave të përgjegjshme për përdorimin dhe mbajtjen në kontroll të tokës, burimeve të peshkimit dhe pyjeve.

This thematic study explores the links between the right to food and natural resources governance. It covers a range of issues of which access to resources and assets, land, water, and the recommendation to protect ecological sustainability for sustainable management of natural resources are primary.

Ce document a pour objet de donner un aperçu de ce qu’a été la coopération de la FAO avec le Royaume du Maroc depuis l’ouverture de la Représentation de la FAO à Rabat en 1982 en se concentrant sur les projets d’assistance technique. 134 projets nationaux de ce type ont été mis en oeuvre depuis 1982 pour un budget total de 49 millions de dollars.

Climatic stress and anthropogenic disturbances have caused significant environmental changes in the Sahel. In this context, the importance of soil is often underrepresented. Thus, we analyze and discuss the interdependency of soil and vegetation by classifying soil types and its woody cover for a region in the Senegalese Ferlo.

The Sahel has been the focus of scientific interest in environmental-human dynamics and interactions. The objective of the present study is to contribute to the recent debate on the re-greening of Sahel. The paper examines the dynamics of barren land in the Sahel of Burkina Faso through analysis of remotely-sensed and rainfall data from 1975–2011.
