In course of the research there were appraised the modern conditions of the land market in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus. The characteristic peculiarities of the land market were given. The experiences of execution of the land reforms were analyzed. The directions of state regulation of the land relationships were revealed. The deficiencies that prevent the dynamic development of the land market were revealed.

In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there was analyzed and systematized the experience of development of rent of agricultural lands in foreign countries. One of the most important directions of land ownership rights realization is land lease – one of the most economically sensible and efficient forms of land tenure. There were established the advantages and necessary conditions for the efficient inclusion of land lease relations in the field of land tenure into market mechanisms. There was suggested a complex variant of development of the rent of lands in agricultural production.

Uganda has started its journey into urbanization and economic development. The pace of urbanization is picking up currently at 4.5 percent per year, and likely to accelerate with rising incomes. The economic benefits from urban growth will come from exploiting economies of scale and agglomeration and by increasing fluidity in factor markets that enable substitution between land and non land inputs.

This paper critically examines theories of accumulation, dispossession and exclusion for analyzing the agrarian transformations that result from contemporary large-scale land acquisitions across the Global South. Building upon Marx's primitive accumulation, Harvey's accumulation by dispossession and Hall et al.'s Powers of Exclusion, conceptual lenses are developed through which to examine how land grabs transform property and social relationships of resource-based production.

Vooral sinds de scherpe stijging van de voedselprijzen in 2007/2008 is er een sterk toegenomen belangstelling van landen en bedrijven om grond in andere landen in gebruik te nemen voor de productie van landbouwgewassen, zowel voor voedselgewassen als voor biobrandstoffen. Het gaat om zeer grote oppervlaktes cultuurgrond, met soms vergaande consequenties voor de plaatselijke bevolking. This article seeks to draw connections between a political ecology of global investment in resource sector development and a culturally informed understanding of rural out-migration across the Lao–Thai border. The author highlights how the departures of rural youth for wage labor in Thailand and the remittances they return to sending villages are becoming important for understanding agrarian transformations in Laos today. In the first section the author introduces the contemporary context of cross-border migrations across the Lao–Thai Mekong border.

This paper uses data collected in Thailand among permanent rural-urban migrants to analyse the motivations in land temporary transfers such as free loans or rentals. Land transfers are here looked at in a continuum and categorized according to three characteristics: the nature of the relationship between the parties of the exchange, the monetary nature of the payment as well as its explicit or imlicit nature. This methodology allows a richer typology than traditionnally used in empiric literature, and distinguishes between various loans that are not always free.
