This Act amends the Land Titles Act (Chapter 157, 1994). Unregistered land of whatever tenure may be registered upon application to the registrar (sect. 19). The amendment includes detailed provisions on leases (sect. 24) and titles. There are consequential amendments to Conveyancing and Law of Property Act (sect. 66).

This Land Law aims to overhaul the distribution and management of land in Cambodia as well as protect property rights. This basic land legislation consists of 8 Titles; Private and public ownership (I); Acquisition of ownership (II); The regime of private ownership (III); Forms of ownership (IV); Immovable property used as surety (V); Cadastre (VI); Penalty provisions (VII) and Final provisions (VIII).The Law refers to recognition of rights to land of persons who have had peaceful, uncontested possession of the land for a certain period of time.

This Law establishes that agricultural land shall be exclusive property of the state and of citizens permanently living in rural areas for at least two years. Allotment in ownership and transfer of agricultural land shall be prohibited to: (a) foreign natural and legal persons, and foreign states; (b) stateless persons living on the territory of Kyrgyzstan; (c) legal persons of Kyrgyzstan and joint-ventures; and (d) married couples if one conjoint is foreigner or stateless person.

Article 33 shall be supplemented with the following wording: “Lease payment for agricultural land shall be calculated in accordance with quality and location of the plot of land and cadastre valuation thereof”.

This Act amends the State Acquisition of Lands Ordinance in section 16 in paragraph (a). The principal object of this Amendment is to empower the Court when assessing the value of the land to be acquired under the State Acquisition of Lands Ordinance, to take into account the very nature of the estate or land being acquired itself and improvements on the land which the State has made whilst as a lessee or occupier of the land in question. It also empowers the Court to consider other matters, which the Court thinks appropriate and proper to take into account.

This Law establishes legal, organizational and socio-economic grounds for the institution, functioning and re-organization of peasant farms. It shall not be applicable to subsidiary small-holding, collective gardening or horticulture. Peasant farm shall be considered individual enterprise based upon private ownership of agricultural land and individual work of household members for primary processing and trade of agricultural commodities.

This Act makes provision for the registration of the ownership of land, lease and other title to land, and for this, and other purposes, establishes the Land Registry.

This Act contains rules regarding the relationship between landlord and tenant and makes provision with respect to judicial proceedings regarding the relationship between landlord and tenant.The provisions of this Act concern, among other things, payment of rent, distress for the non-payment of arrears of rent including seizure of crops or livestock, fraudulent removal of goods by tenants from leased premises, summary recovery of possessions and other legal actions, ejectment and compensation for crops, fruit trees and unexhausted farm works.

This Act regulates the purchase of freeholds in tenantries. A tenantry means a tenantry specified in the First Schedule (a plantation tenantry) and an area of land, including public land, subdivided before a specified date into lots for letting for specified purposes. “Tenantry” does not include land adjoining the foreshore. The purpose of this Act is to establish by law a right for tenants of lots in tenantries who satisfy the requirements of this Act to purchase the freehold at a purchase price governed by considerations of public policy and the requirements of the Constitution.

The purpose of this law is to develop relations originated by lease contracts as envisaged in the civil code and to promote leasing.

The Act lays down rules concerning rental of land and enterprises for agricultural production, as well as provisions on rental of forest lands. Contractors must be included in official registers.

This Act concerns the disposition of Yukon lands, i.e. a sale or lease of lands or a grant of right of way or easement with respect of those lands (sect. 1). This Act, under section 2, applies to all properties of the Yukon that are vested in Her Majesty in the right of Canada but the right to the beneficial use or to the proceeds of which is appropriated to the Government of Yukon and is subject to the control of the Legislature. The Act sets requirements for the application of disposition (sect. 8), regulates the sale and lease prices (sect. 13), provides for the right of entry (sect.
