The Agricultural Perspective Plan (APP) is a national strategy with a cross-sectoral approach with a duration of twenty years (1995-2015). Its goal is to add two percentage points to the country’s agricultural growth which would expand per capita agricultural growth sixfold, from its current 0.5% to 3% per year. The APP strategy is based on the acceleration of the agricultural growth rate sufficiently to obtrain strong multiplier effect on growth in employment, both in agriculture itself and in nonagricultural sectors.

This Statement outlines agreed objectives and policies for the future of Australia's public and private forests. The Governments share a vision of ecologically sustainable management of Australia's forests. This vision has a number of important characteristics: 1) The unique character of the Australian forested landscape and the integrity and biological diversity of its associated environment is retained. 2) The total area of forest is increased. 3) There is a 'holistic' approach to managing forests for all their values and uses so as to optimise benefits to the community.

Over millions of years, nature has built up an intricate system of relationship of exchange and mutual dependence among its elements - land, water, air, forest, sunlight and living things - to create what we call the ecosystem. It is the life support system of all living things on this planet and provides not oniy the daily needs but also saves resources for future generations. But this very life support system is endangered by man's aggression against nature. In the last few decades, the aggression has reached unprecedented levels.

La presente Ley establece normas tendientes al control y prevención de todo proceso de degradación de los suelos; a la recuperación, habilitación y mejoramiento de las tierras para la producción; y a la promoción de la educación conservacionista. El objetivo es asegurar los medios para adecuar la utilización de la tierra, conforme a su aptitud, manteniendo el equilibrio de los ecosistemas de manera de evitar el deterioro de la economía provincial y teniendo en cuenta las posibilidades reales y efectivas de los usuarios.

This Action Plan is a nation-wide sectoral document aiming at helping the Government to maintain and improve the environment, including the marine and ocean area contained within the Exclusive Economic Zone, and to manage the resources contained therein for the collective benefit and enjoyment of present and future generations.

La presente Ley se funda en una concepción integral del problema ecológico y en la decisión política de hacerle frente, sumando los esfuerzos del Estado y la sociedad.

La presente Ley de protección de suelos y control de erosión, tiene por objeto establecer las normas especiales referentes a la protección de suelos y al control de la erosión y la vigilancia del cumplimiento de las mismas por parte del Instituto Nicaragüense de Recursos Naturales y del Ambiente (IRENA). Se declara de Interés Público y Beneficio Social la conservación de los suelos, cualquiera que sea el régimen de propiedad al que se encuentren sometidos.

La presente Ley establece los principios y reglas generales para la conservación de los suelos en la Provincia. Se faculta a la Dirección de Agropecuaria, Bosques e Industrias a adoptar las medidas necesarias para asegurar la conservación de los suelos y el mantenimiento de su capacidad productiva.

According to article 91a, paragraph 1, of the German Constitution (Grundgesetz) measures on the improvement of production methods, working conditions, management and in general in the agricultural, fishery, forestry and water sector shall be taken with the agreement of regional governments. For this purpose a common frame work is devised and every year within the 1 March the Länder submit a general working plan to the Federal Minister for Nutrition, Agriculture and Forestry for approvement within the said frame work. The Act consists of 14 articles.
