This Act makes provision for the payment of compensation for withholding of property by persons acting in collusion with tenants and for the recovery of non-paid rent. The Act also makes provision for the renewal of leases without the surrender of land.
This Act amends the Registered Land Act with respect to a wide variety of matters including: general powers of the Registrar, registration of land and land registers, execution of instruments and other legal acts that may bring about a change in legal status of a real property.
This Act sets out the conditions and procedures for the partition of land held by more than one tenant, i.e. joint tenants and tenants in common.Any person entitled to claim partition may apply to Court for partition, which shall, after issue of an order of partition by Court, take place in the matter as specified by this Act.
It shall not be lawful for any person to dig, take or carry away for building or construction purposes or for providing ballast for a vessel any sand, stone, gravel, etc. from any beach, seashore or floor or to move such materials along a public road, except under and in accordance with a permit from the Director of Public works. A permit shall be in the form as set out in the Schedule.
This Act concerns: (a) the imposition of taxes on land including improvements and all estates, interests, easements and rights pertaining to land; and (b) the valuation of real property for purposes of taxation.The Act assigns the function of administration of provisions of this Act to the Commissioner of Inland Revenue and provides for the appointment of a Chief Valuation Officer and Valuation
This Act abolishes various special rights relating to inheritance of an estate in the condition of intestate. The Act also provides various rules relative to succession to real estate and personal estate on intestacy and relative to residuary estate held on statutory trusts for the issue of the intestate.
