This report is a follow up of a study that was carried out in the year 2001/2 commissioned by the FAO and SARPN. The main objective of the initial study was an assessment of the negative impacts of HIV/AIDS on livelihoods of the affected and infected communities through lowering their agricultural productivity. Hence, this workshop was held to share the findings of the FAO study with the participating communities, solicit their reaction and opinions and more importantly to update the previous findings by capturing new developments in regard to HIV/AIDS and its impact on Land. Some of the recommendations that emerged from this workshop include:Implementing a free education policy at higher levels of education where the cost of education is higherProhibiting the sale of land, and promote renting out or sharecropping of land that is not being utilised
