This Act and the regulations apply to all land within the boundaries of any forest reserves established pursuant to this Act. "Forest reserves" is all land described in the appendix to the agreement set forth in the Schedule to chapter 20 of the Statutes of Alberta, 1948, and to chapter 59 of the Statutes of Canada, 1947. The Lieutenant Governor in Council may authorize the Minister to purchase, expropriate, or otherwise acquire land within a forest reserve or adjoining a forest reserve, to exchange public land for land within or adjoining a forest reserve, and to prohibit or restrict the conduct of any business or commercial activity on any land situated within the boundaries of a forest reserve.
