This Act provides special rules relative to the integrated approach for the improvement of the quality of areas that are particularly problematic as regards town and country planning, nature, forest resources, recreation, water and the environment in general (concentration areas). A reconstruction shall take place in concentration areas in accordance with this Act. One of the stated objectives of the reconstruction is to decrease the density of livestock farming in concentration areas so as to diminish risks relating to diseases affecting animals and to limit effects of livestock keeping on soil and water resources. For each concentration area one or more reconstruction commissions shall be appointed and reconstruction plans adopted. The Act sets out the required content of such plans. The Act also concerns land consolidation.
