The FAO Legal Office provides in-house counsel in accordance with the Basic Texts of the Organization, gives legal advisory services to FAO members, assists in the formulation of treaties on food and agriculture, for which the Director-General acts as Depositary, publishes legal studies and maintains a database (FAOLEX) of national legislation and international agreements concerning food and agriculture (including fisheries, forestry and water).

Land Transaction Act Implementing Ordinance.
The purpose of the present Ordinance is to enforce the Federal Land Parcel Act of 28 July 1961 (BGBl. I p. 1091 in the Land Rheinland-Pfalz. In particular, the Law lays down provisions dealing with registration, proceedings and authorization of land transactions. The text consists of 9 articles.

Promotion Guidelines of the Interior Ministry setting-up the geo-data infrastructure in the Land Brandenburg.
The aim of the present Guidelines provide the legal framework for the development and operation of the geo-data infrastructure of Rheinland-Pfalz being part of the national geo-data infrastructure. Contaminated Sites Rehabilitation Association Law.
The present Law implements the Federal Soil Protection Act of 17 March 1998 (BGBl I p. 502). In particular, the Law establishes the Contaminated Sites Rehabilitation Association. The tasks of the association are the: 1) remediation of contaminated areas, or of harmful soil changes under the Federal Soil Protection Act; 2) reactivation of contaminated sites; 3) development and testing of new technologies and innovative processes for remediation of contaminated sites and harmful changes to the soil, promotion of water conservation zones.
