Soil Conservation Regulation 1998.

This regulation implements the Soil Conservation Act 1986. It provides for the continuation in force of existing approved project plans (sect. 2) and requires approved plans to be available for inspection (sect. 3). The regulation is completed by one schedule: approved project plans and regional offices.

Sanctuary Cove Resort Act 1985.

This Act concerns the development of the Sanctuary Cove Resort at Hope Island, it consists of 128 sections and is divided into nine Parts. The Act provides for the creation of the Sanctuary Cove Resort Principal Body Corporate responsible for the management and development of the land in the areas to which the Act applies. The Act is completed by five schedules: uses permitted within zones, the site, zones of the site, adjacent plan, zones of the adjacent site.

Vegetation (Application for Clearing) Act 2003.

This Act is about applications for the clearing of trees and other vegetation provided for in the Integrated Planning Act 1997 and in the Land Act 1994. It consists of seven sections and is divided into four Parts. Part 3 is dedicated to applications for development approval and sets restrictions on changing applications or development approvals. Part 4 covers applications for tree clearing and sets restrictions on changes proposed to applications or permits. The Act is completed by a schedule containing the dictionary of relevant terms used in the Act.

Torres Strait Islander Land Act 1991.

This Act, consisting of 19 Parts divided into 207 Sections, provides for the grant of land as Torres Strait Islander land. The Act recognizes that the land is of spiritual, social, historical, cultural and economic importance to Torres Strait Islanders, who inhabited the territory that is now Queensland before the settlement of Europeans (Preface). Part 2 contains basic concepts on, among others, Island custom and what is to be considered available land that is it claimable under the Act.

Valuation of Land Regulation 2003.

This Regulation, consisting of ten sections, implements the Valuation of Land Act 1994. It regulates the valuation of intangible improvements, it also sets the values of the fees to be paid under the Act. The Regulation is completed by two schedules: fee for copy of valuation roll and fees.
