Ministerial Decree on acceptability criteria for the landfill of waste.

The Decree establishes the acceptability criteria to be applied to the landfill of waste in accordance with the categories specified by article 4 of Legislative Decree No. 36 of 13 January 2003. Article 2 concerns installations for inert waste; article 3 concerns installations for non hazardous waste; article 4 concerns installations for hazardous waste. Article 5 sets out acceptability crietria for underground landfill of waste.

This Act amends environmental legislation of 2 CMC relating to legal proceedings, assessment and collection of penalties or fines, inspection of records, the Division of Environmental Quality Special Fund, emergency permits for disposal of waste in areas affected by typhoons or other destructive natural events.This Act allows for civil action under 2 CMC after all administrative appeal procedures are exhausted.

This Decision approves the master plan on the socio-economic development of the Thai Binh province. This plan shall be closely combined with the rational exploitation and protection of natural resources and ecological environment.The plan, among other things, shall: adopt policies on the management and rational use of natural resources, especially land, water sources, minerals, submerged forests; prevent and effectively handle acts causing environmental pollution; and invest in the collection, recycling and treatment of waste.

This Notice of the Minister of Environmental Affairs, made under section 69(1)(iA) of the National Environmental Management: Waste Act, 2008, regulates the planning and management of residue stockpiles and residue deposits from a prospecting, mining, exploration or production operation including the assessment of impacts and analyses of risks relating to the management of residue stockpiles and residue deposits. It also provides for a pollution control barrier system and a monitoring and reporting system.

These Regulations promote the segregation and recovery of household food waste. They place obligations: a) on waste collectors to have a separate collection service for household food waste; and b) on the householders who produce food waste to segregate such waste and make it available for separate collection. Producers may alternatively compost the waste on the premises where it arises under specified conditions or take it to authorised facilities such as civic amenity sites, composting sites, anaerobic digestion sites or for incineration.

The Regulation specifies limited values and measures for preventing soil pollution. The Ministry of Environment, together with other pertinent institutions and agencies, defines the areas and locations where soil pollution occurs and determines and implements corresponding measures. The list of soil pollutants and their limit values are given in Annex-IA and Annex-IB of the Regulation. Use of any agricultural chemicals and fertilizers that are not licensed by the Ministry of Agriculture is prohibited. The use of waste disposal and composted materials are defined in details.

This Regulation of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia, which is composed of 27 articles and one Annex, establishes measures, prohibitions and other conditions for co-firing and waste incineration and the conditions and measures of operational co-incineration of waste and incineration of waste.
