This Act provides rules relative to the physical development of public and private land in Grenada so as to, among other things: ensure sustainable land use; maintain and improve the quality of the physical environment; provide for the orderly subdivision of land; and protect and conserve the natural and cultural heritage of Grenada.As for the administration of this Act, the Development Control Authority established by the Land Development Control Act, is continued as the Panning and Development Authority.

This Law provides for the preservation of historical and cultural artefacts in Afghanistan. All movable and immovable historical and cultural artefacts and heritage items are the property of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.The Law provides for the establishment of an Archaeology Committee to evaluate and perform research on historical and cultural artefacts.

Particular amendments are hereby laid down to Regional Act No. 42 on forestry, with regard to the approval procedure for the programme on forestry and the implementation of projects. Article 11 on the fire-fighting service is replaced by the text laid down in article 5 hereto.

Articles 6, 9, 14, 30 have either been amended or new paragraphs have been added. The present Law also amends new articles of the Village Law of 1924, the Law on Natural Disasters 1959, and the Tourism Incentives Act of 1982. The formation of the technical teams is re-defined. This Decree-Law amends Decree-Law No. 120/2000 on the Statutes of the Ministry of Environment and Territory Management. Amended articles establish the reorganization of the aforementioned Ministry by the fusion of four organisms in two (Institution of Environment; and Portuguese Institution of Geography) composition, duties and compentencies are specified in the text.

This Act constitutes the legislative framework in matter of environmental protection within the State of Sabah. Part II of the Act is devoted to the setting up of the Environment Protection Council whose functions shall be to advise the State Government on matters relevant to the implementation of these provisions. On the other side, Part IV of the Act provides for the establishment of the Environment Protection Fund. Further provisions as regards public servants and administration competent in the environmental field are laid down in Part V.

This Regional Law establishes that land parcels pertaining to regional or municipal property can be expropriated for public or municipal needs for the following purposes: (a) housing construction; (b) creation of new or expansion of existing protected areas; and (c) realization of regional target-oriented programs.

An Act by the regional government of Vorarlberg on the prevention and reduction of pollution to implement the Council Directive 96/61/EC concerning integrated pollution prevention and control. For the purposes of the present Act “pollution” means the direct or indirect introduction as a result of human activity, of substances, vibrations, heat or noise into the air, water or land which may be harmful to human health or the quality of the environment, result in damage to material property, or impair or interfere with amenities and other legitimate uses of the environment.

The present Act establishes an appointed body, the Manitoba Heritage Council. The Council advises and makes recommendation to the Minister of Manitoba Culture, Heritage and Tourism on provincial commemoration and legal protection of sites and structures. Council members represent various regions of Manitoba, have heritage expertise and make recommendations on proposals by applying standard assessment criteria to ensure consistent and objective decision-making.
