The FAO Legal Office provides in-house counsel in accordance with the Basic Texts of the Organization, gives legal advisory services to FAO members, assists in the formulation of treaties on food and agriculture, for which the Director-General acts as Depositary, publishes legal studies and maintains a database (FAOLEX) of national legislation and international agreements concerning food and agriculture (including fisheries, forestry and water).

These Regulations implement sections 106A and 106B of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990. These sections enable a person against whom a planning obligation is enforceable to apply to the local planning authority to have the obligation modified or discharged and provides for an appeal to the Secretary of State if such an application is refused or not determined.

This Regulation provides for the implementation of the Law No. 6306 on restructuring of areas under risk of natural disasters. The Regulation sets forth the rules and procedures of determination of the areas and buildings to be restructured, determination of the value of immovables, assistance to beneficiaries, demolition of buildings at risk. This Regulation repeals the Regulation on the implementation of Law on restructuring of areas under risk of natural disasters dated 4 August 2012.

The present Regulation is enacted under the Assessment Act. In particular, section 1 of the Regulation establishes that categories and types of things, deemed to be included in the definition of "improvements" by section 1(2) of the afore-mentioned Act, shall be excluded from the defintion of "improvements" in the Act.
