La agricultura resiliente al clima está en vigencia hoy más que antes debido a los constantes cambios que experimenta nuestro planeta. Al comprender los orígenes de las investigaciones sobre la agricultura y el cambio climático, el autor busca unir la tecnología y los saberes ancestrales de los pueblos para la producción alimenticia más eficiente. Como parte de una serie de artículos cortos de opinión, este texto llega a plantear una postura sobre la agricultura resiliente al clima.

El presente artículo se basa en el documento del mismo nombre recientemente difundido por el Instituto para el Desarrollo Rural de Sudamérica (IPDRS), octavo en la serie EXPLORACIONES. El texto revisa históricamente el papel de las políticas públicas que los Estados Nacionales implementan en la profundización de las brechas de desigualdad en las estructuras agrarias de Sudamérica, y analiza la directa y estrecha relación entre éstas y la construcción de las relaciones de fuerza entre los actores agrarios de la estructura de propiedad de la tierra.

El mundo se ve distinto desde Charagua. Recibí al año 2010 en esta localidad del Chaco Boliviano, que acaba de  ganar por referéndum su reconocimiento como municipio indígena,  aunque realmente es intercultural,  debido a una presencia importante de población guaraní, criolla, mestiza, menonita, quechua y aymara. Gran parte de sus habitantes se dedica a actividades agropecuarias como principal fuente de ingresos.

Les pays en développement d'Asie doivent faire face à l'année la plus difficile depuis la crise financière de 1997/1998. L'effondrement du commerce mondial suite à la crise économique globale a été lourd de conséquences pour les industries manufacturières de la région. Les ménages ruraux ont particulièrement souffert de ce recul en raison de la perte d'emplois hors du secteur agricole. Une action rapide des décideurs politiques de la région est nécessaire afin d'atténuer les conséquences de la crise, les incitations fiscales pouvant jouer un rôle important à cet égard.

This case study draws on research that investigated how urban land is claimed, used or divided and the various land use management (LUM) practices that exist around these various and sometimes competing land uses. This case study is based on a research study undertaken by Colin Marx and Margot Rubin with Progressus Research and Development, commissioned by Urban LandMark. The purpose of this assignment was to establish whether there is appetite to hold a public debate on how to realise better land‐based investments in Tanzania. It also aimed at identifying what would be the discussion issues and most appropriate mechanism to allow different actors from different levels to articulate their perspectives on land‐based investments in Tanzania. This has been triggered by the sensitivity surrounding the topic.

Over the years, PINGOs Forum has been concerned with the future of Pastoral and HunterGatherer communities with regard to changing patterns of traditional land use and livelihoods options. The information gathered from the past studies have risen much concern on the side of PINGOs Forum that perhaps climate change may have a serious bearing in the land use patterns and livelihoods of Pastoralists and Hunter-gatherers. As a result of this concern, PINGOs Forum decided to embark on a study to observe changes that have occurred in land use patterns in recent years.
