Country Parks and Special Areas Regulations (Chapter 208A).

These Regulations provide for the proper management and control of country parks and special areas.The Regulations prohibit or restrict within a country park o special area, except in possession of a permit: the entry of persons, vehicles, boats and animals; the killing, hunting, trapping or disturbance of any form of wildlife; the taking and destruction of vegetation; the cutting, picking, uprooting, digging, etc. of any plant, part of a plant or soil; the lighting of fires; etc.

These Regulations concern tree preservation orders which may be issued by local authorities under section 25 of the Town and Country Planning Act. The Regulations specify some procedural requirements and require the Minister to take into account objections and representations before confirming an order.

This Order defines property that is exempted from rating in accordance with the Rating Act, 1997. This category includes agricultural land and buildings on such land, used primarily for the purposes of agriculture excluding residential and recreational buildings and lands and buildings situated in Trust Land or in the Reserves.

Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1958 (Act. No. 24 of 1958).

This Act provides for the preservation of ancient and historical monuments and archaeological sites and remains of national importance and for the regulation of archaeological activities in India.The Central Government will have the power to declare ancient monuments or archaeological sites, etc. to be of national importance. The Director General may, with the sanction of the Central Government, purchase, take lease or assume the guardianship of any protected monument, for its protection or preservation.

This Instruction shall be applicable to concession of land located in the protected area of Issyk Kul for construction of health resorts, rehabilitation, recreational and tourist sites. Temporary concession of land for the aforesaid purposes shall be carried out exclusively through open tenders. Each plot of land shall be put on sale as a separate lot. Boundaries of the plot of land put on sale shall be coordinated with adjacent land tenants and landowners.

The purpose of the present Act is: a) to enable First Nations and aboriginal communities on the east side of Lake Winnipeg to engage in land use and resource management planning for designated areas of Crown land that they have traditionally used; and b) to provide designated areas of Crown land on the east side of Lake Winnipeg with special protection from development and other activities that might occur on that land.
