The present Regulations are made under section 6 of the Northwest Territories Lands Act. Section 4 establishes that an application to lease or purchase territorial lands must be made to a land agent and must be accompanied by the application fee set out in the Schedule. The text - consisting of 18 sections deals with the following aspects: sale of territorial lands, leasing of territorial lands, grazing leases, fees.

This Decree establishes the amount of information to be released by the State register of immovable property, and the modalities of request and release thereof the period of updating of information on immovable property for taxation purposes. Cadastre information shall be considered of general public access except for restrictions related to identification data of the objects of immovable property owned by natural persons.

This Decree establishes that the competent territorial and local authority for land management is the countrywide network system of land offices (county and ditrict offices)and the central authority is the Land Survey and Remote Sensing Institute (FÖMI).

Article 2 shall be amended to add the following wording: “Regional Government shall have the competence in determination responsible for management and governance of regional public land and also of plots of land pertaining to federal property administered by the regional administration due to transferred plenary powers by the Russian Federation”.

Article 2 shall be amended to add the following wording: “The Regional Law shall not be applicable to cases of allotment of agricultural land for garage construction even if the current legislation envisages such uses of agricultural land”.

This Decree rules in detail the proceedings of elimination of common properties of land created as a result of post-socialist land allocation procedure. The purpose of this Decree is the re-allocation of portions of land and the creation of usable land parcels. These proceedings, in general, requires new surveys, mapping, land valuation, correction of cadastral data and new real estate registration.

Article 2 shall be amended to add the following wording: “Plots of land shall be allotted to citizens within the boundaries of municipal units of their permanent place of residence”.

Article 3 shall be amended to add the following wording: “Citizen interested in allotment of land plots free of charge shall submit to the competent regional executive body written application on allotment in ownership of land plots free of charge containing indication of land area, place of location and intended use”.

Using the 2009 round of the Ethiopian Rural Household Survey, this paper examines the medium-term impact of the land registration on investment behavior by households, particularly the adoption of soil conservation techniques and tree planting. It investigates whether men’s and women’s knowledge of their property rights under the land registration (as measured by answers to a list of questions regarding the provisions of the registration, covering such areas as tenure security, land transfer rights, and rights related to gender equity and inheritance) has an impact on these investments.

Almost two decades have passed since China first enacted legislation to protect farmland from conversion to nonagricultural use. Yet hundreds of thousands of hectares of agricultural land are still developed to urban area each year, raising the question of whether the legislation is effective in preserving farmland from development. This paper examines the effectiveness of the Basic Farmland Protection Regulation in protecting high-quality farmland from urban development in China in the first decade after it came into effect (1995‒2005).

Article 10 shall be amended to add the following wording: “Plots of agricultural land pertaining to regional or municipal ownership shall be allotted to natural and legal persons in accordance with Land Code of the Russian Federation and Federal Law “On turnover of agricultural land”.

The Vision of the present cross-sectoral Forestry Strategy 2020 (FS2020) establishes that by 2020, the Government of the Lao PDR envisages a sizeable, vigorous and robust forestry sector continuing in its role as one of the leading sectors advancing national socio-economic development. A sector in which scientifically-managed natural production forests generate timber and non-timber products at sustainable levels with village participation, under supervision and technical support from well-staffed, well-trained local and national government units.
