The National Livestock Policy is a sectoral national policy of the Republic of Somaliland. It applies to the period 2006–2016. Its main objective is to provide guidelines, coordination and regulation of the livestock sector in order to increase its efficiency in terms of production and productivity to improve the livelihoods of livestock producers and of the Somaliland economy, through focused use of resources.For attaining this main goal, the Government of Somaliland will improve and maintain the indigenous stock, maximise their production capacity in meat, milk, hides and skins.

The Albanian National Land Consolidation Strategy is a national strategy with a cross-sectoral approach. The timeframe is a 15 year period from 2014 to 2028, divided into three major phases. The Strategy promotes the creation of economically viable, competitive and sustainable family farms. The overall aim is to contribute to sustainable development and to enhance the agricultural sector in an inclusive and gender and socially equitable manner, so as to ensure food security, alleviation of poverty and the rational use of natural resources.

This Agricultural Sector Policy Framework (ASPF) is a sectoral policy framework of the Republic of South Sudan applicable to the period of 2012-2017. Its main objective is increase of agricultural productivity to improve food security and contribute to economic growth and environmental sustainability.The ASPF provides for measures regarding both food security and nutritional security.

The present Uganda Vision 2040 lays out the general development objectives for Uganda over a 30-year period. Its goal is to transform Uganda from a predominantly peasant and low-income country to a competitive upper middle income status country. Together with the National Development Plan, Uganda Vision 2040 provides the overall leadership and policy direction for job creation and priority setting. It is based upon the theme of realising freedom, equality, justice, peace and prosperity for all. The plan identifies key development objectives for the new Republic of South Sudan and outlines priority programmes for achieving these objectives.
