Zambia remains committed to the socio-economic development planning of the country as reflected by the return to development planning in 2005. The Seventh National Development Plan (7NDP) for the period 2017- 2021 is the successor to the Revised Sixth National Development Plan, 2013-2016 (R-SNDP) following its expiry in December 2016. The Plan, like the three national development plans (NDPs) that preceded it, is aimed at attaining the long-term objectives as outlined in the Vision 2030 of becoming a “prosperous middle-income country by 2030”.

This study on farmers’ suicides is done by Indo-Global Social Service Society (IGSSS) through its local partner the Baitarani Initiative. This study was attempted to understand if farmers’ suicides were just a desperate reaction to events like droughts and crop loss or there were more fundamental roots.

These Regulations make minor changes and corrections to the Electricity Works (Environmental Impact Assessment) (Scotland) Regulations 2017, the Town and Country Planning (Environmental Impact Assessment) (Scotland) Regulations 2017, the Forestry (Environmental Impact Assessment) (Scotland) Regulations 2017, the Agriculture, Land Drainage and Irrigation Projects (Environmental Impact Assessment) (Scotland) Regulations 2017 and the Marine Works (Environmental Impact Assessment) (Scotland) Regulations 2017.

A Lei n.º 62/2012, de 10 de dezembro, criou a bolsa nacional de terras para utilização agrícola, florestal ou silvopastoril, nos termos da qual a Direção -Geral de Agricultura e Desenvolvimento Rural (DGADR) exerce as funções de entidade gestora da referida bolsa. A Resolução do Conselho de Ministros n.º 24/2014, de 20 de março criou o grupo de acompanhamento da bolsa de terras, integrado, nomeadamente, por representantes das direções regionais de agricultura e pescas e das GeOp.

Esta publicação busca trazer a todos os Municípios brasileiros orientações sobre como incorporar a nova agenda de desenvolvimento, a Agenda de Desenvolvimento Sustentável (Agenda 2030) no planejamento e na gestão municipal. Trata-se de uma agenda global para o desenvolvimento humano e sustentável à qual o Brasil, junto com outros 192 países, aderiu em setembro de 2015, e que deve ser implantada até 2030.

Lancée le 18 mai 2012, la Nouvelle Alliance pour la sécurité alimentaire et la nutrition (NASAN) est une initiative du G8 (maintenant devenu G7) lancée par le président des États-Unis, Barack Obama. La NASAN vise à accroître la part de l’investissement privé dans l’agriculture africaine de façon à « réaliser une croissance agricole soutenue et inclusive ainsi qu’à sortir 50 millions de personnes de la pauvreté au cours des dix prochaines années ». Au total, 10 pays africains ont adhéré à la NASAN.

Este estudo tem por objectivo analisar as estratégias de produção dos pequenos produtores no Sul do Save, em Moçambique. A análise assenta na recolha de dados primários obtidos a partir da administração, em 2015, de 1200 questionários junto da população alvo, no âmbito de um projecto de investigação em curso no Observatório do Meio Rural (OMR) em Moçambique. A reflexão aqui apresentada inspira-se nos contributos das principais correntes teóricas e estudos empíricos relacionados com as estratégias de produção dos pequenos produtores.

Rubber prices in northern Laos have fallen significantly over the last few years, eroding much of the initial enthusiasm of both farmers and government officials about rubber providing a way out of poverty for poor upland farmers. This thematic study examines responses to this price drop by Lao rubber growers and state institutions in northern Laos. It also examines the reasons that prices are what they are, given that price volatility was identified as a risk during the mid-2000s, and that in at least some cases, steps were taken to protect contract farmers from falling prices.

This event, hosted at ODI in London, was convened to discuss the use of new technologies to map and document land rights, and their impact on land registration and administration, and provide updates on recent activities of Forum membe
