This Act amends the Kerala Conservation of Paddy Land and Wetland Act, 2008 by making minor word changes to sections 12, 13 and 19 that provide for the appointment of authorized officers and their powers, powers of the District Officer and powers of entry and seizure.

This Order makes amendments to the Agricultural Holdings (Scotland) Act 2003 so as to make it compatible with a specified human right. It inserts a new section (section 72A) into the 2003 Act. This Act empowers the Director of Agriculture to make Land Preservation Orders under section 3 for purposes set out in subsection 2 of section 3.

This Act makes provision for a wide variety of matters regarding public and private land and community land (as defined respectively by Articles 62, 63, 64 and 260 of the Constitution), and in particular provides of the sustainable administration and management of land and land-based resources. It also provides for (compulsory) acquisition of land.
Articles 5a and 23a are hereby added to Law No. 7501 on the land. Upon division of the land, the Land Commissions at the villages shall deposit the documentation on land distribution with the cadastre office of the competent district.
