The FAO Legal Office provides in-house counsel in accordance with the Basic Texts of the Organization, gives legal advisory services to FAO members, assists in the formulation of treaties on food and agriculture, for which the Director-General acts as Depositary, publishes legal studies and maintains a database (FAOLEX) of national legislation and international agreements concerning food and agriculture (including fisheries, forestry and water).

Displaying 566 - 570 of 15549Decree No. 172 on the methods and technical standards for dredging operations in sites of national interest, pursuant to article 5-bis paragraph 6 of Act No. 84 of 28 January 1994.
This Decree was adopted pursuant to article 5-bis of Law No. 84 of 1994 which addresses the dredging of marine coastal areas within sites of national interest. The Law states that dredged materials may be disposed of in the same body of water as long as they: are similar to the sediment level of the site of origin; are suitable for the destination site; and pass the relevant ecotoxicity tests. They may also be re-used on land if pollutants contained therein do not exceed certain thresholds; or stored in coastal retaining tanks if they are non-hazardous.

El presente Decreto modifica la estructura orgánica del Instituto Nacional Agrario (INA), creado mediante la Ley de Reforma Agraria, con la finalidad de adecuarlo para que sea el instrumento de transformación de la estructura agraria del país, enfocado a la tenencia de la tierra que garantice la justicia social en el campo, la seguridad jurídica, la asistencia técnica a los campesinos beneficiarios de los procesos de reforma agraria, la producción alimentaria, la titulación y la solución oportuna de conflictos.
Regional Law No, 101-GD amending Regional Law No. 137-GD “On municipal land control”.
Article 6 shall be amended to add the following wording: “Validated annual plan of municipal land control inspections shall be brought to attention of all the persons concerned through publication on official website of municipal land control body”.

Regional Law No. 403-z amending Regional Law No. 224-z “On objects of cultural heritage”.
Article 12 shall be amended to add the following wording: “In case of identification of a burial ground of victims of mass repressions local government must submit to the regional executive body application for insertion of this site having the characteristics of an object of cultural heritage for insertion in the state register, accompanied by the description of its historic and cultural value and mapping of the area”.
