The FAO Legal Office provides in-house counsel in accordance with the Basic Texts of the Organization, gives legal advisory services to FAO members, assists in the formulation of treaties on food and agriculture, for which the Director-General acts as Depositary, publishes legal studies and maintains a database (FAOLEX) of national legislation and international agreements concerning food and agriculture (including fisheries, forestry and water).

The present Order is made under the Territorial Lands Act. In particular, the purpose of this Order is to withdraw from disposal certain tracts of territorial lands in order to facilitate the conclusion of Aboriginal land agreements. In particular, section 2 establishes that the tracts of territorial lands set out in the Schedule, including the surface and subsurface rights to the lands, are withdrawn from disposal for a period of three years beginning on the day on which this Order is made. The text consists of 5 sections and 1 Schedule.
Cadastral Land Survey (Registration of Memorandum of Survey and Survey Report in Rodrigues) (Amendment) Regulations 2015 (GN No. 46 of 2015).
These Regulations amend the Cadastral Land Survey (Registration of Memorandum of Survey and Survey Report in Rodrigues) Regulations 2013 in regulation 3 with respect of ptrcedures for the registration and approval of a Memorandum of Survey and Survey Report. The Departmental Head shall endorse every memorandum or report of survey. La presente Ley regula la planeación, el establecimiento y la operación de Zonas Económicas Especiales para impulsar el crecimiento económico sostenible que, entre otros fines, reduzca la pobreza, permita la provisión de servicios básicos y expanda las oportunidades para vidas saludables y productivas, en las regiones del país que tengan mayores rezagos en desarrollo social, a través del fomento de la inversión, la productividad, la competitividad, el empleo y una mejor distribución del ingreso entre la población.

Le présent arrêté fixe les attributions spécifiques des membres du Secrétariat permanent de la reforme domaniale et foncière au Mali. Sous l’autorité du Secrétariat Général du Ministère des Domaines de l’Etat et des Affaires Foncières, le secrétaire permanent est chargé de programmer, de diriger et de coordonner l’exécution des missions assignées au secrétariat permanent de la reforme domaniale et foncière au Mali. Par ailleurs, ce texte détermine les attributions des membres du secrétariat permanent secrétaire permanent (le juriste, le géodésien informaticien et les experts).
Regional Law 924-OZ amending Regional Law No. 667-OZ “On some issues related to turnover of agricultural land”.
Article 1 shall be amended to add the following wording: “Leaseholder of a plot of agricultural land pertaining to public or municipal ownership shall have the right of purchase of such plot of land in ownership in case the right of lease originates from conversion of permanent (open-ended) tenancy or life-long hereditary possession of such plot of land to lease, at the cost equal to 15 percent of its cadastre value”.
