An Alberta land surveyor, surveyor's corporation or surveyor's partnership may engage in the practice of surveying. "Alberta land surveyor" means an individual who holds a certificate of registration and an annual certificate to engage in the practice of surveying under this Act. The Alberta Land Surveyors' Association is continued as a corporation. The Association shall be governed by a Council. The Council may appoint a Registrar for the purposes of this Act. In addition, there is hereby established a board called the Practice Review Board.
Forest Reserves Act (RSA 2000, c. F-20).
This Act and the regulations apply to all land within the boundaries of any forest reserves established pursuant to this Act. "Forest reserves" is all land described in the appendix to the agreement set forth in the Schedule to chapter 20 of the Statutes of Alberta, 1948, and to chapter 59 of the Statutes of Canada, 1947. All forest reserves within Alberta are set apart and established for the conservation of the forests and other vegetation in the forests and for the maintenance of conditions favourable to an optimum water supply.
Agricultural and Recreational Land Ownership Act (RSA 2000, c. A-9).
The Lieutenant Governor in Council may make Regulations for the purpose of prohibiting, annulling or in any manner restricting the taking or acquisition directly or indirectly of, or the succession to, any interest in controlled land (as defined), provided that they do not operate so as to prohibit, annul or in any manner restrict the ownership by a person of interests in controlled land consisting of not more than 2 parcels containing, in the aggregate, not more than 20 acres.
