Dakar, le 17 mai 2024 - En partenariat avec plusieurs organismes internationaux, dont le Fonds international de développement agricole (FIDA), le Gouvernement sénégalais a officiellement lancé aujourd'hui le Programme de gestion intégrée des risques climatiques (AIRCM). Ce dernier vise à renforcer la résilience des petits producteurs et productrices agricoles face aux effets des changements climatiques dans sept pays du Sahel participant à la Grande Muraille verte: le Burkina Faso, la Gambie, le Mali, la Mauritanie, le Niger, le Sénégal et le Tchad.

Après avoir souligné la nécessité de transformer les systèmes alimentaires et de développer des approches plus inclusives, ils ont discuté des réalisations ainsi que des obstacles et des défis à surmonter dans la lutte contre la faim.

Le Centre Ouest Africain pour la Transformation Rurale Durable (WAC-SRT) de l’Université Simon Diedong Dombo des Études Intégrées de Développement et de Commerce (SDD-UBIDS) à Wa, au Ghana, est fier d’annoncer l’ouverture des candidatures pour l’année académique 2024/2025. Dans le cadre du prestigieux programme de bourses DAAD, des bourses sont disponibles pour le Master en Gestion du Développement (MPhil) (2 ans, à temps plein) et le Doctorat en Planification pour le Développement Durable (PhD) (4 ans, à temps plein).
Critères d’éligibilité :
Master en Gestion du Développement (MPhil) :
Mention « Second Class Honours » dans un domaine pertinent (First Class Honours pour les candidats boursiers DAAD).
Le diplôme de premier cycle doit avoir été obtenu au cours des six dernières années.
Deux ans d’expérience professionnelle dans un domaine pertinent.
Soumission des relevés de notes, diplômes, CV, projet de recherche et une lettre de motivation.
Les candidats retenus pour la bourse DAAD recevront un contrat de deux ans.
Doctorat en Planification pour le Développement Durable (PhD) :
Diplôme de Master (MPhil/MSc/MA) dans un domaine pertinent.
Le diplôme de deuxième cycle doit avoir été obtenu au cours des six dernières années pour les candidats DAAD.
Deux ans d’expérience en recherche.
Soumission des relevés de notes, diplômes, CV, projet de recherche et une lettre de motivation.
Les candidats retenus pour la bourse DAAD recevront un contrat de trois ans.
Processus de candidature : Les candidats ghanéens doivent utiliser le Portail d’Admissions en Ligne de l’UBIDS. Payer 180 GH¢ dans les banques désignées ou via mobile money. Les candidats étrangers doivent envoyer les documents de candidature par courrier express. Le projet Dooleel Mbay, financé par l’USAID et mis en œuvre par RTI, organise lundi 24 juin aux Résidences Mamoune à Dakar un dialogue politique sur l’assurance agricole au Sénégal.
Cette activité se base sur des évidences notamment sur une récente étude portant sur « l’impact de l’assurance agricole sur les capacités de résilience des petits producteurs » réalisée par IPAR en collaboration avec ASPRODEB, MSA, la CNAAS etc.
L’objectif global de cette rencontre est d’identifier des solutions et actions prioritaires afin d’élaborer un plan d’actions réaliste pour l’accroissement et l’accès à une assurance agricole diversifiée et adaptée au Sénégal.
La session regroupera une cinquantaine de participants qui seront constitués d’acteurs et de décideurs provenant de différentes parties prenantes de l’assurance agricole (public, privé, OSC, OP, partenaires techniques et financiers et recherche), mais aussi de représentants des structures partenaires de Feed the Future Sénégal Dooleel Mbay.

À l'occasion de la Journée mondiale de lutte contre la désertification, qui a lieu chaque année le 17 juin, le gouvernement du Ceará a organisé une journée intitulée « Ceará no Clima », en parallèle la Fondation du Ceará pour la météorologie et les ressources en eau (Funceme) et l’IRD ont mis en place un évènement pour rappeler les dangers de la désertification et de la sécheresse dans le monde.
