El presente Acuerdo establece los procesos metodológicos para la definición de las zonas agroecológicas homogéneas y el cálculo de la Unidad Productiva Familiar (UPF) para las provincias de la Sierra y del Litoral, de conformidad con el Informe Técnico en el cual se establecen 33 Zonas Agroecológicas Homogéneas, y en base a las cuales se delimita la superficie referencial de la UPF de cada zona a nivel cantonal.

El presente Acuerdo tiene por objeto establecer los procedimientos que la dependencia encargada de tierras, sea la Subsecretaría de Tierras y Reforma Agraria o la unidad administrativa que la reemplace, por delegación de la Autoridad Agraria Nacional, debe ejecutar para dar cumplimiento a las disposiciones contenidas en la Ley Orgánica de Tierras Rurales y Territorios Ancestrales y su Reglamento General de aplicación.

The Cocoa Research Institute of Ghana (CRIG), with support from the World Cocoa Foundation (WCF) the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), performed the Ghana Land Tenure Baseline Survey, the first of its kind survey of tenure rights among cocoa farmers in Ghana. CRIG surveyed almost 1,800 cocoa farmers operating 3,900 cocoa plots regarding various land tenure issues within customary sharecropping arrangements and on owner-managed land. This report describes the findings from the Survey.

The NGO Forum on Cambodia, in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forests and Fisheries, organized a national consultation workshop on 19-20 December 2016 on the sixth version of the draft Cambodian Agricultural Land Law. In addition to inputs from various stakeholders at the workshop, a legal review was conducted with the assistance of Mr. George Cooper, an independent senior legal expert experienced in land policies.

In Ghana, farmer-herder conflicts have become widespread and increasingly assume a violent dimension. Competition over access to and use of land and water resources is at the center of the conflicts. However, competition does not automatically result in conflicts. The conflicts are driven by triggering activities of both farmers and herders. This study identifies triggers of farmer-herder conflicts in the Upper West Region of Ghana and tests the level of agreement among key stakeholder groups on the triggers of these conflicts.

In this paper we assess the types of knowledge networks utilised by small-scale farmers in four case studies (located in Bulgaria, Poland, Portugal, and the United Kingdom). We focus on knowledge acquired to inform three new activities being undertaken by study participants: agricultural production, subsidy access and regulatory compliance, and farm diversification (specifically agritourism).

This paper attempts to understand the thoughts of the farmers and other residents in the Minamiyama area of Inagi at the respective time, taking into consideration the long history of development planning, changes in the use of land, and the land readjustment project that has been underway. Local farmers sold land in Minamiyama, operated real estate businesses, Land readjustment brought about by the City Planning Act helped the farmers.

The dynamics of Land Deals in Africa

Looking at several large-scale land deals in Mozambique, Tanzania and Zambia, this documentary film highlights the nuanced impacts of these investments. Small-scale farmers and producers, national government officials, and African policy-makers unpack the deals, showing that there are winners and losers when providing investors access to large tracts of land in Africa. For example, land deals impact differently on women and youth, and altering land regimes also impacts on access to other natural resources such as water, fish, and local indigenous vegetables.
