The scope of the Act is to improve the living standards and opportunity of earning of those involved in agriculture, forestry, fishery and aquaculture, hunting, reindeer breeding and other nature-based activities in the Northern districts of Finland. This Regulation implements that part of the EC Council "Groundwater Directive" (80/68/EC) which concerns the infiltration of water. Infiltration in this Regulation has the same meaning as in article 1 of the Groundwater Act. This Regulation restricts the powers of provincial authorities to grant permits for infiltration of water. This may be done only if no danger is to be expected of pollution of groundwater.

Regulation made under the fertilizing Substances Act. The Regulation makes provision for a system of reporting on and registration of production of organic fertilizer. Yearly communication of production date shall be made by producers to the District Bureau of the Ministry of Agriculture (art. 2). The amount of fertilizing substance shall be expressed in the quantity of phosphate (art. 4). Registration takes places also for purposes of the imposition of several charges. (10 articles)

This Resolution is composed of 6 articles: governmental and national authorities shall carry out studies to evaluate the impact on the environment of the projects included in the attached list (art. 1); the Environmental Protection Council shal keep the following information: comprehensive description of the project; justification and objectives of the project; description of state of the environment; examination of the impact of the project on the environment; and, indication of the environmental protection mesures (art. 2).

The Minister declares under section 21 of the Forest, Soil and Water Conservation Ordinance Protected Forests for purposes of protection against storms, winds, rolling stones, floods, landslides, prevention of soil erosion and the deposit of mud, stones, etc. on agricultural land, prevention of wastage of resources of timber and for securing the proper management of timber lands, the maintenance of water supplies in springs, rivers, canals and reservoirs, the protection of specified works, and the preservation of health.

This Order consolidates with amendments the permitted development provisions of the Town and Country Planning (General Amendment) (Scotland) Order 1981 and subsequent amending instruments. The main purpose of this Order is to permit certain classes of development without express planning permission being granted under the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1972. Schedule 1 to the Order sets out these classes of development in detail, subject to articles 3 to 7.
