THE OUTLOOK FOR THE EUROPEAN FOREST RESOURCES AND ROUNDWOOD SUPPLY
Forecasts for the forest resource and roundwood supply are one of the two fundamental parts of ETTS V (the other is consumption and production projections). National ETTS V correspondents were asked to provide detailed forecasts for the area, growing stock, increment, fellings and removals of their countries at 10 year intervals from 1990 to 2040. These replies were then checked and analysed, and are presented in this Working Paper, in full detail.

Forthcoming sourcebook and survey modules to measure the role of forests in household income and livelihoods
A sourcebook and survey modules are being developed by five bodies (FAO, CIFOR, IFRI, the World Bank's LSMS and PROFOR) to collect data on the socioeconomic contributions of forests to household welfare and livelihoods at aggregate scales. The modules have been field-tested in three countries. This flyer is intended to disseminate information on the launch of the sourcebook and survey modules in October 2016 to the partcipants of the IUCN World Conservation Congress in September 2016.
