Shortly after the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) was founded in 1945, the organization had started to support member countries addressing structural problems in agriculture with land fragmentation and small holding and farm sizes through the development of land consolidation instruments (Binns, 1950). During the 1950s and 1960s, FAO provided technical assistance to the development of land consolidation in member countries in Europe such as Turkey, Greece, Spain and Cyprus, but also in the Near East and Asia (Meliczek, 1973).

In the five years since the Voluntary Guidelines on the responsible Governance of Tenure (VGGT) was endorsed, the Guidelines have inspired policy and legal reforms in countries, from Gabon to Guatemala, making a real difference to people's lives.

The purpose of this study is to investigate whether the Flexible Land Tenure System (FLTS) in

Namibia is in line with the Fit-For-Purpose (FFP) land administration approach which is

developed in order to implement the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at national and

local level in developing countries by providing tenure security to poor people and creating

country-wide land recordation systems. The FFP approach is based on a Minimum Viable

Product focusing on the specific local tenure security needs, flexibility on survey accuracy,

La agricultura ya no es la base de las economías suramericanas pero sigue siendo estratégica en el empleo, la balanza comercial, el crecimiento económico, equilibrio territorial y seguridad alimentaria. Los gobiernos de la región deben revisar su sesgo hacia la agroexportación, su miopía de género, garantizar el equilibrio en el acceso a la tierra y el agua y situar la pequeña agricultura en el centro de las políticas agrarias y de inversión pública. Esta sería una vía para reducir la pobreza y la desigualdad.

At its 42nd Plenary session in 2015, the Committee on World Food Security (CFS) decided to hold a global thematic event at the 43rd session in October 2016 to share experiences and take stock of the use and application of the Voluntary Guidelines on the Responsible Governance of Tenure of Land, Fisheries and Forests in the Context of National Food Security (VGGT), as a contribution to monitoring progress towards VGGT implementation. This second global stocktake on the VGGT is informed by the contributions received from stakeholders.

This learning guide provides civil society organizations (CSOs) with a methodology and a set of materials to undertake training on the VGGT with civil society actors from the grassroots to the national level. Trainees will learn how to apply the VGGT to actual tenure governance challenges.

Le présent décret ratifie les statuts du Centre ouest africain de recherches et de services scientifiques sur le changement climatique et l’utilisation adaptée des terres (WASCAL), conclu le 10 février 2012 à Lomé, au Togo.Ce Centre dont le siège est à Accra, au Ghana, a pour mission d’améliorer considérablement l’infrastructure, la capacité de recherche et les bases de données scientifiques pour une évaluation des changements climatiques et de leur impact sur la société et les systèmes socio écologiques.

La Réglementation Commune sur l'homologation des pesticides en zone CEMAC a pour but de mettre en commun les expériences et l'expertise des États membres pour l'évaluation et l'homologation des pesticides afin d'assurer leur utilisation rationnelle et judicieuse, ainsi que la protection de la santé humaine et de l'environnement.

La présente loi autorise la ratification de la Convention portant création de l’Agence Panafricaine de la Grande Muraille Verte, adoptée par la Conférence des Chefs d’Etat et de Gouvernement de la Communauté des Etats sahélo sahariens (CENSAD) à Ndjamena, le 17 juin 2010.Cette Agence a pour mission la coordination et le suivi d’une barrière verte de protection contre l’avancée du désert et de contribuer au développement durable sur la bande sahélo saharienne comprise entre les isohyètes 100 et 400 mm sur une distance d’au moins 7000 km de long et 15 km de large, reliant Dakar et Djibouti.

Le présent règlement détermine les mesures de la transhumance entre les Etats Membres de la CEDEAO.
