This Act introduces the Scottish Landfill Tax as the replacement for UK Landfill Tax in Scotland. The Scottish Landfill Tax is a tax which is charged on taxable disposals. The Act defines what a taxable disposal is (A “taxable disposal” is waste material which has been disposed of by way of landfill), and prescribes, among other things, what disposals are exempt from the tax, how to calculate tax, who is liable to pay tax and when credit is available in relation to tax.

This Order, for purposes of the Land Registration etc. (Scotland) Act 2012, amends, among other things, the Land Register Rules etc. (Scotland) Regulations 2014 and the Act, so as to make small and consequential amendments regarding, among other things, authenticated electronic documents.

This Order, for purposes of the Land Registration etc. (Scotland) Act 2012, make provision for continuation of an Automated Registration of Title to Land (ARTL) system. The Regulations, among other things: specify the kinds of deeds which are authorised for use in the system and the persons authorised (i.e. licensed) to use the system; provides for the suspension or revocation of an authorisation and for appeals against the Keeper’s decision to refuse, suspend or revoke an authorisation; amends the Land Register Rules etc.

This Order, made under section 67(1) of the Land and Buildings Transaction Tax (Scotland) Act 2013, gives the Keeper of the Registers a statutory power in relation to applications for registration of a document in the Books of Council and Session. Applications must provide any information reasonably required by the Keeper to enable compliance with the Keeper’s duty under section 43(1) of the 2013 Act.

This Decree establishes the modalities of unifies calculation of the value of urban land in Riga from the moment of entry into force of the new zoning on land. Cadastre value shall be calculated in accordance with immovable units and land plots registered in the State cadastre of immovable property. State Land Service shall perform calculation of cadastre value in accordance with this Decree. The following data shall be used for land value calculation: (a) cadastre denomination; (b) land area; (c) purposeful use of immovable property; and (d) encumbrances and use restrictions on land.

This Decree establishes the modalities of updating cadastre value of immovable property by re-evaluation of land and immovable property units pertaining thereto on the basis of amendments and modification of data related to specific land plot. Updating cadastre data shall be performed by State Land Service. The period of updating shall be from 1 January to 31 December in cadastre were registered modification of the following data: (a) land area; (b) purposeful use of land; (c) types of uses and land area; and (d) encumbrances and use restrictions.

This Decree regulates the modalities of determination and classification of specific types of the purposeful use of land with a view of calculating land taxes, Specific purposeful uses of land shall be registered in land cadastre. Executive body of the local government shall be responsible for determination of specific land uses on the territory under its jurisdiction except for land areas destined for defence purposes and land transferred to state institution and used for security purposes, police, fire safety and penitentiary institutions.

This Presidential Decree, consisting of sixteen Chapters, amends and codifies the laws related to registration of land property.
