This Act provides for the preservation of ancient and historical monuments and archaeological sites and remains of national importance and for the regulation of archaeological activities in Arunachal Pradesh.The Government will have the power to declare ancient monuments or archaeological sites, etc. to be protected monuments or protected areas. The Government may purchase, take lease or assume the guardianship of any protected monument, for its protection or preservation.

These Regulations further implement in Scotland the requirements of Council Directive 91/676/EEC concerning the protection of waters against pollution caused by nitrates from agricultural sources. The objective of the Directive is to ensure that measures are taken to reduce and prevent nitrate pollution from agricultural sources. It provides a framework for action to reduce nitrate levels in the catchments of rivers and groundwater sources affected by such pollution, and to reduce eutrophication of freshwater bodies, estuaries, and coastal waters.

This Order establishes that the Instruction shall be applicable to: (a) formation of new plot of land; (b) change of land area or of the boundaries of the plot of land; (c) change of the type of authorized land management; and (d) transfer of a plot of land from one category to another. Land shall be classified in three categories: (1) agricultural land; (2) protected areas; and (3) land of water resources. Cadastre value of the first category shall be calculated by multiplication of average cadastre value of land at the municipal level by land area.

This Act provides for measures against erosion and encroachment of the coast of Great Britain by the sea. Part I of this Act provides for the protection of the coast. In sections 1 to 3 it provides for the administration relative to coast protection. It appoints the council of each maritime county, borough or county district as coast protection authority for its territory. Section 2 concerns the constitution of coast protection boards for areas to be specified by the Minister. Section 3 provides for joint committees of coast protection authorities.

This Act amends the Preservation of Sites and Artefacts Act [CAP 39] in relation with the classification of objects and sites, the protection of classified sites or objects, appointment of Heritage Inspectors and the definition of their powers. The Minister may, after consultation with the Vanuatu National Cultural Council, classify as national heritage any site or object of: (a) historical significance; or (b) archaeological significance; or (c) ethnological significance; or (d) artistic significance. A register of classified sites and objects shall be kept by the Vanuatu Cultural Centre.
