Ministerial Decree No. 79 on approval of rules regarding conservation, recovery and use of lands affected by radioactive and chemical contamination.

This Decree aims at conservation and recovery of lands affected by radioactive and chemical contamination which pose a threat to human health and do not meet the sanitary requirements, by withdrawing them from economic circulation and transfer them to the State Reserve Fund for restoration. This Decree states that measures shall be taken against hazardous chemicals used in plant protection and mineral fertilizers in agricultural land as well as industrial and domestic waste water and waste.

This Order establishes the declaration of protected place. It specifies the place in the first column of the Schedule, Gadong Power Station 2, Kampong Gadong, Mukim Gadong, Brunei-Muara District, as described in the plan specified in the second column thereof deposited in the office of the Surveyor-General, is hereby declared to be a protected place for the purposes of the Act.

Article 4 shall be amended to add the following wording: “Supreme regional executive body in the sphere of land relations shall set forth the modalities of transfer of public land to the category of protected areas of regional significance and protection thereof in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation”.

Protected Places Order, 2008.

The Act consists of 83 sections divided into 10 Parts: Preliminary (I); Administration (II); Development plans (III); Control of development of land (IV); Enforcement (V); Environmental protection (VI); Building regulations (VII); Compensation and acquisition (VIII); Appeals (IX); Miscellaneous and supplementary (X).Section 3 defines duties of the Minister and particular holds the Minister responsible for securing the objects and purposes set out in section 3. A Development Control Authority is established as a body corporate under section 5.

Decree No. 129 of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection validating the Regulation on estimate of permissibale impact on protected areas.

This Decree establishes the modalities of estimate and calculation of rates of permissible impact on protected areas in the process of performance of tourism, recreational and healthcare activities. The scope of determination of rates of permissible impact shall be conservation of ecosystems, biological diversity and landscape diversity of protected areas. The aforesiad rates shall be established by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection at the suggestion of state bodies managing protected areas.

This Act provides for the designation of areas to be parts of provincial parks and provides for the management of such parks. The Act covers also the appointment and powers of park wardens, the protection of flora, prospecting and mining and enforcement measures.

This Act establishes a strategic system of marine planning in Northern Ireland’s inshore region (as defined), provides in part for a modernised licensing and enforcement regime and promotes the United Kingdom’s aim of establishing an “ecologically coherent network of Marine Protected Areas”, so that marine biodiversity is protected and international and European commitments are met.
