The FAO Statistical Yearbook 2012: Africa Food and Agriculture, disseminates statistical information that will help all stakeholders to access, easily and quickly, a set of statistics on food and agriculture related to the current themes and domains of interest in the region. The document provides users in Africa and abroad with statistics and reliable indicators on food and agriculture that can be used for policy formulation, monitoring and evaluation.

This guide proposes tools and approaches to improve forest tenure governance and practical actions to realise this objective. It is intended for government policy-makers, or other public sector, private sector or civil society stakeholders concerned with forest governance and tenure reform.

The purpose of the sourcebook is to further elaborate the concept of CSA and demonstrate its potential, as well as limitations. It aims to help decision makers at a number of levels (including political administrators and natural resource managers) to understand the different options that are available for planning, policies and investments and the practices that are suitable for making different agricultural sectors, landscapes and food systems more climate-smart.

El propósito de las insignias de las Naciones Unidas es despertar conciencia, educar y, sobre todo, motivar a los jóvenes a cambiar su comportamiento y a ser agentes de cambio activos en sus comunidades locales. Ce rapport présente les principales conclusions sur le changement d'utilisation des terres forestières et d'occupation des sols entre 1990 et 2005 de l'Enquête par télédétection de l'Évaluation des ressources forestières mondiales 2010 de la FAO. Il s'agit du premier rapport du genre à présenter des estimations systématiques de l'utilisation des terres forestières mondiales et de ses changements.

The second meeting of Biodiversity, Habitat and Water Quality, subject of this report, was organized in Banjul (The Gambia) from 12 to 14 March 2013. All representatives of the countries (except from Morocco) as well as the RCU URC and the project partners were able to participate.
