This Law shall determine types and organizational forms of enterprises, rules of their foundation, registration, re-organization and liquidation, and organizational mechanism to conduct their business under conditions of transition to the market economy. Natural resources shall be possessed and used on a paid basis by enterprises pursuant to the prescribed procedures and when envisaged by Ukrainian legislative acts – on privileged terms. Owners of land and land users shall annually pay fees for land in the form of a land tax or lease payment.

This Law shall specify the general legal, economic and social provisions of executing entrepreneurial activity (entrepreneurship) by citizens and legal entities within the territory of Ukraine and establish guarantees of freedom of entrepreneurship and its state support. Activities connected with the production and sale of weapons and ammunition thereto may be fulfilled only by state enterprises and organizations.

The Law provides for all the activities related to mining and exploiting the mineral resources, be them gemstone (ruby, diamonds, opal, sapphire etc.), metallic mineral (iron, gold, silver, zinc, copper, aluminium etc.), industrial mineral (coal, asbestos, etc.) and stone (marble, limestone, quartz, granite etc.). Large scale-production is encouraged as the exportation of mineral products.

This Act concerns the administration of an area of Dominica set apart under this Act as a reserve and known as the “Carib Reserve”. The Carib Reserve Council shall be constituted as a body corporate and shall be a local government body with the same powers as a Village Council. The Council may make By-laws for the administration of the area including such matters as drainage and sewerage, pollution control, the keeping of animals and the sale of food. The Authority may also establish public pounds and allot land for purposes of agricultural development.

This Act lays down basic provisions on land tenure, both urban and rural. land can be owned only by Lithuanian citizens, or by the State (art. 3). Private ownership of land conveys certain standard rights and privileges, amounting to the free and unimpeded enjoyment and disposition of the owner's property (art. 7). Usufructury rights accrue to the leaseholders of private and State-owned land (art. 8).

This Law concerns the formation, organization, preservation and use of nature reserves. There are four types of reserves: (i) state conservancies, where most human interference is prohibited; (ii) national parks, where activities are somewhat less restricted and which are intended for recreational, historical, cultural and scientific purposes; (iii) state reserves, the characteristics of which are not specified; and (iv) natural monuments, which are natural objects of special scientific and historical cultural value.

This Legislative Decree aims at land and environmental planning. The present Decree is composed of 20 articles. Article 1 deals with terms and definitions. Article 2 specifies the scope of this Decree. Article 3 defines requirements and conditions for the division of land. Article 4 decrees that the division of land or amendment of division should be adopted by the Ministry of Housing in accordance with provisions of this Decree and of its Implementing Regulations. This Act provides for the expropriation and taking for use of land and other property (movable or immovable), by the Minister of Public Works (in certain cases including an executive committee) or by certain local authorities, for public and certain other purposes. Notice of expropriation to owners as well as offers of compensation must be made. If owners do not claim specific amounts of compensation, the Minister will make an offer for compensation. The Act sets out the criteria for determining compensation are contained.

"Land amelioration" is defined in section 2 as "the drainage, irrigation or double-purpose regulation of water conditions, also the application of agromeliorative or land cultivation measures". Another key term used in this Law, "Amelioration System" (abbreviated "AS") is defined as "the complex of buildings and constructions for drainage, irrigation or double regulation of water conditions". This Law makes provisions in 25 sections for the construction, ownership, use and maintenance of Amelioration Systems and the creation of Amelioration Associations.
