This Regulation, made under the Afar National Regional State Rural Land Use and Administration Proclamation, concerns equal land use rights on communal holdings of the pastoralist communities and separation of communal holdings for use of the pastoralist community. Any pastoralist shall be entitled to equal land use right on communal holding.

This Proclamation establishes the Oromia Bureau of Land and Environmental Protection and defines its objectives, functions and powers.

The Act provides for the creation of the Kenya Ports Authority which may administer ports and establish and operate port services. The Act also provides for acquisition of land for the purposes of the Authority. The Minister may make, subject to other legislation, Regulations for the registration, licensing, inspection and control of fishing boats.

This Act makes provision with respect to the procedures and processes in accordance with which land use in a planning area or zone are prescribed, managed, monitored and evaluated. The Act sets out the fundamental principles of land use, establishes land use planning authorities and provides with respect to land planing procedures and authorizations.

This Proclamation provides establishes the Geological Survey of Ethiopia ("Survey") as an autonomous federal government organ having its own juridical personality. The Survey shall be accountable to the Ministry of Mines and Energy.

This Proclamation defines the proper organization, power and functions of incorporated cities in Oromia Regional State. Municipal Service" includes water and sewerage service. A community of residents which meets the requirements for incorporation through its representatives apply to the Regional Executive Councillor to the body that it designates for a city status.

The Act consists of 99 sections which are divided into 6 Parts: Preliminary (I); Land Holding (II); Control of Land Use (III); Land Management (IV); Land Tribunals (V); Miscellaneous (VI).Sections 3 declares all land in Uganda to be vested in its citizens and divides land tenure systems into 4 categories: customary; freehold; mailo; and leasehold. Section 4 defines these titles in detail.
