This Code embraces an extremely comprehensive range of issues relating to land use and management.
This Law regulates the use, management and protection of natural resources in the interest of ecological safety and economic development. It is composed of ten chapters and four annexes. After defining and classifying natural resources (renewable, non-renewable, national, local, reserved and protected, curative, i.e. used for prevention and treatment of illnesses) (chaps. 1 and 2).
The aim of this Law is to define the basic concepts and procedures for the privatisation of property in Moldova. All branches of the country's economic, cultural and social sectors are open to privatisation, except national defence, cultural heritage, state monopolies and property which supplies part of the "state-guaranteed minimun free social services" (art. 2).
This law establishes that the owner of housing facility located on a plot of land subject to expropriation for state or public needs shall be granted equal housing facility by state, cooperative or public organization to which the expropriated plot of land has been allotted (art. 96).

This Ministerial Decree regulates registration of agricultural land of the members of cooperative classified as loan capital and other land owned by the members of cooperative. Agricultural land classified as loan stock shall include agricultural land except for land stock constituting authorized capital stock.
This Ministerial Decree establishes the modalities of calculation of minimum and, in case of necessity, maximum land charges for lease of public and private agricultural land. It shall not be applicable to reserve land allotted to retirees and social workers and poor households to which special fixed tariffs shall be applicable.
This Regulation shall be compulsory for legal persons, carrying out geodetic, topographic, cartographic, geodetic exploration and cadastre mapping activity. It establishes the modalities of issuing permits for topographic, geodetic and cartographic activity, registration and accounting of the aforesaid activities, storage, retrieval and access to information.
Import, manufacturing, transport storage and trade of phytosanitary means for the improvement of soil fertility tested, approved and registered by the National Approbation Council shall be authorized on the national territory. The state testing and approbation include expertise, field testing, registration and issuance of the approbation certificate.
This Order establishes sanitary and hygienic requirements for processes related to storage, transport and utilization of phytosanitary means for the improvement of soil fertility that shall be compulsory for all legal and natural persons using pesticides and fertilizers. Purchase of phytosanitary means from private persons or companies operating without licence shall be prohibited.
This Ministerial Decree regulates keeping of the Register of peasant farms and the modalities of registration thereof. The Register shall be public and it shall contain data related to the establishment re-organization. The scope of the Register shall be to collect and store data and information related to the functioning of peasant farms.
