Article 4 shall be amended to add the following wording: “Maximum agricultural land area located within the boundaries of one municipal district that can be owned by a single natural and (or) legal person shall be established equal to 10 percent of total available agricultural land area located on the aforesaid territory at the moment of allotment and (or) purchase of such agricultural land plots”.

This Regional Law regulates relations in the sphere of turnover of agricultural land within the plenary powers of the regional authorities, including ownership, disposal, tenancy and purchase of agricultural land. Privatization of agricultural land, pertaining to regional of municipal property, shall be authorized beginning from 1 January 2004. Maximum agricultural land plot area that can be owned by a single household or by a single legal person within a single administrative unit shall not exceed ten percent of total available agricultural land area.

This Regional Law regulates the modalities of turnover of agricultural land. It establishes plenary powers and jurisdictional competence of the regional administration and local government in the sphere of turnover of agricultural land. Minimum land area of agricultural land plots authorized for transactions shall be equivalent to average district land share defined at the moment of land allotment free of charge and maximum agricultural land area that can be owned by a single natural or legal person shall not exceed twenty-five percent of total available agricultural land area.

This Law regulates relations concerning ownership, land tenure, and disposal of agricultural land. This Regional Law regulates relations in the sphere of turnover of agricultural land, including privatization thereof that shall be performed within the period of three years from the date of entry into force of this legislative act. Minimum land area of agricultural land plots authorized for transactions shall be established by the local government, varying from one to ten hectares and maximum agricultural land area that can be owned by a single natural or legal person shall not exceed ten percent of total available agricultural land area.

Local government shall be responsible for supervision over land-use planning of urban land in residential areas. This Housing Code shall establish requirements for acknowledgement of land plots destined for residential areas and the establishment of the boundaries thereof. It also regulated the issues of expropriation of land plots under residential facilities for public need and the modalities of compensation to the owners of the aforesaid residential facilities. The right of ownership to land plot under residential facility of the owner thereof shall be regulated by land legislation.
