This Act makes provision with respect to deeds of trust in respect of land. Its purpose is to provide for a satisfactory method of securing the financing of improvements to real property by the United States of America acting through various agencies.A deed of trust is a conveyance of the freehold or leasehold interest in trust to secure an indebtedness or charge against real property conveyed, with or without a power of sale, vested in the trustee to sell according to the terms as set forth in the instrument.

Family Farm Protection Amendment and Farm Lands Ownership Amendment Act (Chapter 13).

The present Act introduces some amendments to the Farm Lands Ownership Act. In particular, it amends section 6 by striking out "vice-chairman" substitutin it with "vice-chair". Furthermore, it amends section 13 dealing with protection from liability.

The present Act introduces some amendments to the Land Titles Act (Chapter L-4). In particular, it repeals section 3; as well as section 5 which shall read as follows: “Deputy Registrar. The Deputy Registrar may do and perform all the duties required by this Act to be done or performed by the Registrar.” Furthermore, it adds a chapter after section 43 dealing with proof of identity; and one after section 50 concerning refusal to register.

This Act makes provision with respect to intestate succession and succession by will of estates including land and land-related rights. The Act sets out rules relative to inheritance and related distribution of estates in the case a person dies without having made a will. The Act also defines offences against persons entitled to inheritance or related to the deceased person.

This Law establishes exclusive plenary powers of the self-government bodies in the following areas: (a) management and disposal of public land resources; (b) land use planning; (c) management of local public forest and water resources; and (d) management of local water supply, drainage and sewerage systems (art. 16). The local self-governing representative bodies (Sakrebulo) shall have plenary powers in the following areas: (a) establishment of management rules and regulations applicable to local public land, forest and water resources; and (b) land use planning (art. 22).

Law Amending the Transfer of Immoveable Property Restriction Law (The State Peace and Development Council Law No. 1/2005).

This Law amends administrative and legal proceedings of the Transfer of Immoveable Property Restriction Law. In particular, it specifies that if any person who is responsible for registering immoveable property under section 8 or section 9 fails to register or willfully makes false statement in registration or makes concealment, he shall, on conviction be punished with imprisonment for a minimum term or one year to a maximum term of three years, and the immoveable property involved in the offence shall also be confiscated.

This Law regulates relations concerning management of common property of condominiums, including common ownership of land on which are located residential facilities. Encumbrance (mortgage) of common property, including common land property shall be authorized and regulated by Civil Code. Establishment and modification of mapping of the boundaries of common land property shall be regulated by acting legislation.

The aim of this Law is to regulate land registration in Dubai. This Law is composed of 11 Chapters divided into 29 articles. Chapter 1 deals with terms and definitions. Chapter 2 specifies the scope of application and rights of ownership. Chapter 3 contains general provisions. Chapter 4 provides for the jurisdiction of the Department of Lands and Properties. Chapter 5 and 6 pertain to land register, registration and recording. Chapter 7 provides for alterations or corrections of records in land's register. Chapter 8 refers to maps. Chapter 9 addresses dividing and merging.

La presente Ley declara la emergencia en materia de posesión y propiedad de las tierras que tradicionalmente ocupan las comunidades indígenas originarias del país, cuya personería jurídica haya sido inscripta en el Registro Nacional de Comunidades Indígenas u organismo provincial competente o aquellas preexistentes, por el término de cuatro años. La ejecución de sentencias, actos procesales o administrativos, cuyo objeto sea el desalojo o desocupación de las tierras mencionadas, queda suspendido por el plazo de la emergencia declarada.

Law No. 9583 amending and supplementing Law No. 9235 of 2004 on the restitution and compensation of the property.

This Law lays down some amendments and addenda to Law No. 9235 of 2004. The amendment extends the scope of the Law to the immovable properties created before 7 April 1939 and sequestrated according to Law No. 37 of 1945 on the extraordinary tax on war profits. It also revises the list of the properties that cannot be restituted and that of the properties that serve the public interest. Furthermore, the amendment revises the regulations dealing with State-owned land and residences.

The present Law lays down some amendments and addenda to Law No. 9235 of 2004 on restitution and compensation of property. The amendments extend the deadlines set by the Law above-mentioned, such as the deadlines for requesting the verification of the issued decisions (from 6 to 18 months) and those for submitting new requests from the expropriated persons from 1 to 2 years.
