Kenya has experienced unprecedented urban growth. At independence the urban population was about 8%. This had grown to be about 40% by 2015. It is projected that by year 2030 at least half of the Kenyan population will be urbanized. The rapid rate of urbanization exerts increased pressure on authorities to meet the needs of growing urban populations.

Second, an empirical case study on various land use options of the Po Delta area in Italy is dealt with, in which conflict resolution is analyzed by means of the use of multicriteria analysis (in particular, the regime method).

O presente trabalho tem como objectivo compreender o que caracteriza os processos de solicitação, tramitação das solicitações e concessão de DUATs em Moçambique, olhando para diferentes zonas, género, tipo de agricultor e tipo de produção, assim como apresentar as vantagens e desvantagens de registar os direitos, consideradas pelos grupos-alvo entrevistados. O estudo realizado nas províncias de Nampula e Zambézia revela que os processos de concessão de DUATs têm sido diferenciados consoante a zona, o produtor e a autoridade encarregue do processo e a finalidade.
