MNA: Taking Land Administration to the Next Level

The session examined advancements in land administration across the MNA region, highlighting both technological innovation and regional collaboration. In Saudi Arabia, the discussion centered on how land management is integrated into municipal development, emphasizing its role in urban planning and infrastructure enhancement. Kuwait's presentation focused on the Arab Town Organization's contributions to regional land management, showcasing cooperative efforts to support sustainable development. Bahrain demonstrated the efficiency of its cost-effective Electronic Registration Workflow System (eRWS), illustrating how the latest technologies have streamlined land registration. A case study on land value capture provided insights into the successes and setbacks of this financing mechanism, drawing lessons from various international experiences.
