ClientEarth, Comptoir Juridique Junior and TaylorCrabbe Initiative are inviting you to join a webinar on 24 September 2020 at 11am (BST).

The climate crisis, biodiversity loss and the spread of pandemics are leading to a growing recognition of the importance of effective forest governance systems. Strong laws are at the foundation of good forest governance as they embody the balance of rights and responsibilities allowing for robust management of forest ecosystems for local and global benefit. Law reforms are a condition for change to happen.

ClientEarth, Comptoir Juridique Junior and TaylorCrabbe Initiative have been working alongside civil society organisations and other stakeholders in West and Central Africa supporting forest law reform initiatives. During these processes, we have learned that well designed laws result from effective processes.

During the webinar, three lawyers will present a new practical guide on law reforms in the forest sector and draw out lessons from Ghana and the Republic of Congo.
