This Land Degradation Neutrality National Report is a national policy with a sectoral approach. The timeframe of the Plan is 15 years between 2016 and 2030. The overall goal of the policy is to ensure soil improvement and conservation.Agricultural productivity will be increased through land improvement in order to meet the food demand.Rural employment will be enhanced through agricultural development. To this end, the living standards in rural areas will be raised.Forest areas will be expanded through afforestation, rehabilitation of mine sites and soil conservation.

The Act makes provision for various matters relating to land survey in Malawi, It establishes the Land Surveyors Registration Board and the he Malawi Geographic Information Council and provides with respect to licensing, registration and duties of surveyors. The Council shall be the sole authority for licensing and registering spatial data in Malawi. Survey plans shall be deposited with the Surveyor General and shall be property of the Government.

Notamment, l'article 1er de l'arrêté royal susvisé est complété par la phrase suivante: "La zone maritime dans le golfe de Guinée à partir de la frontière des eaux territoriales des Etats saisis et délimitée en mer par la connexion des coordonnées fixées dans cet article. This Act provides for the town and country planning at national, district and local level. It sets forth the provisions to prepare, approve and a deposit a plan and establishes an administrative framework for development planning. The Act also provides for development control and enforcement. It consists of 99 sections divide into 10 Parts.The Act establishes the Physical Planning Council and the Physical Planners Board. There shall also be a Commissioner for Physical Planning.

These Regulations, made under section 77 of the Agricultural (Commercial) Land Reform Act, establish criteria to be used in expropriating agricultural land for purposes of section 20(1A) of the Act. The Regulations also concern the identification of agricultural land suitable for expropriation and lays down the method of calculating whether an agricultural land is highly suitable, suitable, moderate suitable or not suitable for expropriation (scoring criteria for agricultural land).
