The FAO Legal Office provides in-house counsel in accordance with the Basic Texts of the Organization, gives legal advisory services to FAO members, assists in the formulation of treaties on food and agriculture, for which the Director-General acts as Depositary, publishes legal studies and maintains a database (FAOLEX) of national legislation and international agreements concerning food and agriculture (including fisheries, forestry and water).

Ministerial Decree No. 782 validating the Regulation on water supply and water discharge schemes.

This Ministerial Decree establishes the modalities of operation of water supply and effluent water discharge network in inhabited areas. The scope of elaboration of the aforesaid schemes shall be to ensure access of consumers to cold and hot water supply and to guarantee effluent waste water discharge, and also the development of centralized water supply and water discharge systems. Projected water supply and water discharge schemes shall be inserted in territorial land –use planning documentation.

This Regional Law shall be applicable to all categories of protected areas of regional significance constituted either with expropriation of land areas from land owners or without it. Conservation and management of protected areas shall be based upon the following principles: (a) priority of conservation of protected areas with regard to management thereof; (b) priority of management of protected areas for scientific research purposes; (c) prohibition of any economic activity incompatible with the regime of protected areas.

Forest, Soil and Water Conservation Act (Cap. 116).

This Act makes provision with respect to conservation of the forest, soil, water and other natural resources of Grenada. The Minister shall establish and maintain a Forestry Department within his or her Ministry, appoint forestry officers and generally promote the interests of forestry. The Forestry Department shall, for the purpose of implementing forest policy, plant, manage and use land vested in it or put at its disposal by the Minister.

This Act declares fraudulent feoffment, gift, grant, alienation, assignment and conveyance of any lands, tenements, hereditaments, goods or chattels, or of any lease, rent, profit, right, interest or charge of, in, to or out of any lands, tenements, hereditaments, goods or chattels, by writing or otherwise, and every bond, suit, judgement and execution to be null and void and of no effect against third persons and specifically heirs, successors, executors or administrators.
