This Notice, made under section 16 of the Environment Conservation Act, 1989, declares the area described in the Schedule to be a Protected Natural Environment and specifies directions that shall be applicable to the area: properties in the area shall be managed and controlled in accordance with section 16 and 17 of the Act as a collaborative nature reserve and general objectives of the Act shall be pursued on the properties which shall be managed as a reserve with exclusion of any normal or conventional agricultural activities.

Conservation of Agricultural Resources Act: Establishment of a Flood Relief Scheme for Flood Disaster Areas.

This Notice, made by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture under section 8 of the Conservation of Agricultural Resources Act, establishes a Flood Relief Scheme. The objects of the Scheme shall be to promote the repair of flood damage in flood disaster areas as defined by article 4 and the Table to this Notice. Subsidies may be paid to farm units in respect to flood damage repair in the defined area. Works must meet certain conditions set out in this Notice and obtain the consent of the executive officer.

These Regulations, made by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture under section 29 of the Conservation of Agricultural Resources Act, provide for measures to protect soil from erosion and in general conservation of the soil and combating of weeds and plant invaders. In particular attention is given to cultivation of land (especially on slopes), protection of cultivated land against erosion through the action of water or wind, and prevention of waterlogging and salination of irrigated land.

Conservation of Agricultural Resources Act: Establishment of a Bush Control Scheme (G.N.R. No. 1045 of 1984).

This Notice, made by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture under section 8 of the Conservation of Agricultural Resources Act, establishes a Bush Control Scheme. This Scheme shall promote the combating of certain invader plants with a view of maintaining production potential of agricultural land. The Scheme shall apply to all land in an area specified in the Table to these Regulations, except to land specified in section 2 of the Act. The Scheme provides for incentives to be granted to participants in the Scheme.

This Notice, made by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture under section 8 of the Conservation of Agricultural Resources Act, establishes a Flood Relief Scheme. The objects of the Scheme shall be to promote the repair of flood damage to certain soil conservation works with a view to conserve the production potential of agricultural land and to combat soil erosion. Subsidies may be paid to participants in the Scheme in respect to flood damage repair in the defined area to works classified as drainage works, protection works, veld utilisation works or drought relief works.
