The FAO Legal Office provides in-house counsel in accordance with the Basic Texts of the Organization, gives legal advisory services to FAO members, assists in the formulation of treaties on food and agriculture, for which the Director-General acts as Depositary, publishes legal studies and maintains a database (FAOLEX) of national legislation and international agreements concerning food and agriculture (including fisheries, forestry and water).

This Regional Law classifies protected categories of citizens that shall have the right to allotment on condition of ownership of public and municipal land free of charge related to urban land for individual housing construction and agricultural land for subsistence farming.
Regional Law No. 957-OD “On maximum land area allotted to citizens for subsistence farming”.
This Regional Law establishes that maximum total agricultural land area that can be owned or held in tenancy on other conditions by citizens for subsistence farming shall be 5,5 ha, and, urban land – 0,5 ha”.
Regulations in terms of the Deeds Registries Act: Amendment (No. R. 195 of 2013).
These Regulations amend the Regulations in terms of the Deeds Registries Act in: regulation 29 on the description of immovable property; regulation 43 on the form of a deed of transfer, certificate of title or deed of cession; regulation 44A on the deeds of churches, corporations, etc.; regulation 61 on acceptance by the Registrar of Deeds; regulation 68 on procedural requirements for the cancellation of a bond; regulation 73 by substitution and addition of forms.

Regulations made under the Sectional Titles Act, 1986: Amendment (No. R. 196 of 2013).
These Regulations amend the Regulations made under the Sectional Titles Act, 1986 in: regulation 15 concerning modification of sectional title deeds upon application by the body corporate or developer; regulation 16B in relation to the preparation of the power of attorney; regulation 16C on the registration of Transfer of Ownership; regulation 27 in relation to applications for registration of Plan of Extension of the Common Property; regulation 28 in relation to certification by the Registrar; regulation 31 in relation to notification of destruction of or damage to building and transfer of
Trespass Act (Cap. 11:07).
This Act prohibits the unlawful trespass upon private land and in particular on cultivated and forest lands. the Act also grants certain powers to the owner of a land upon which an unlawful trespass has taken place and grants certain powers to enforcement officers.
