The present Ministerial Order by the Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations provides for the implementation of Ecosystem Based Management (EBM) on forested lands in the Great Bear Rainforest (GBR). It establishes legal objectives pursuant to section 93.4 of the Land Act, for the purpose of directing forest practices implemented under the Forest and Range Practices Act (FRPA).
Application for Farm Classification Regulation (B.C. Reg. 153/96).
The present Regulation enacts the Assessment Act. Section 1 establishes that an application under section 23 of the Assessment Act by an owner of land to have all or part of that land classified as a farm must be in the attached form entitled "Application for Farm Classification”. Forest Regions and Districts Regulation (B.C. Reg. 19/2000).
This Regulation enacts sections 151 (2) (b) and 151.1 of the Forest Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 157 and is divided into 2 parts. The first, establishing and listing forest regions and the second, establishing and listing forest districts.

This Regulation enacts sections 151 (2) (b) and 151.1 of the Forest Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 157. Section 2 lays down provisions relating to the establishment and listing of forest regions, and section 3 contains provisions relating to the establishment and listing of forest districts. Commissioner on Resources and Environment Act ([RSBC 1996] Chapter 59).
This Act provides for the creation of a Commissioner on Resources and Environment responsible before the Cabinet (Executive Council) and who's role is fundamentally to advise on and develop a strategy for land use and related resource and environmental issues and on the need for legislation, policies and practices respecting these issues. The Commissioner also has coordination and monitoring duties and must take the interests of individuals, groups and Aboriginal peoples into account (sects. 3 and 4).
