National Academic Research and Collaborations Information System (NARCIS) is the main Dutch national portal for those looking for information about researchers and their work. NARCIS aggregates data from around 30 institutional repositories. Besides researchers, NARCIS is also used by students, journalists and people working in educational and government institutions as well as the business sector.
NARCIS provides access to scientific information, including (open access) publications from the repositories of all the Dutch universities, KNAW, NWO and a number of research institutes, datasets from some data archives as well as descriptions of research projects, researchers and research institutes.
This means that NARCIS cannot be used as an entry point to access complete overviews of publications of researchers (yet). However, there are more institutions that make all their scientific publications accessible via NARCIS. By doing so, it will become possible to create much more complete publication lists of researchers.
In 2004, the development of NARCIS started as a cooperation project of KNAW Research Information, NWO, VSNU and METIS, as part of the development of services within the DARE programme of SURFfoundation. This project resulted in the NARCIS portal, in which the DAREnet service was incorporated in January 2007. NARCIS has been part of DANS since 2011.
DANS - Data Archiving and Networked Services - is the Netherlands Institute for permanent access to digital research resources. DANS encourages researchers to make their digital research data and related outputs Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable.

This paper provides a brief overview of one of the first spatial domain standards: a standard for the domain of Land Administration (LA). This standard is in the draft stage of development now (May 2011). The development of domain standards is a logical follow up after domain-independent standards, which are available now in the area of geo-information processing. The Land Administration Domain Model (LADM) provides a conceptual schema with three basic packages with a limited scope: parties, rights (and restrictions/responsibilities) and spatial units.
Rol en betekenis van commissies voor gebiedsgericht beleid
Provincies maken bij de vormgeving en uitvoering van gebiedgericht beleid vooral gebruik van adviescommissies en nauwelijks van bestuurscommissies. Het takenpakket van de adviescommissies overstijgt in de meeste gevallen hun wettelijke bevoegdheden. Ze hebben een hoge regionale dekkingsgraad en claimen beter zicht op lokaal-specifieke omstandigheden te hebben dan de provincies zelf. De commissies houden zich met meerdere thema's bezig (waaronder natuur, landschap, landbouw, recreatie en water).
Strategieën van burgerinitiatieven
In dit onderzoek wordt verder ingegaan op de relatie burgerinitiatief en overheid, met een focus op strategieën. Net zoals de overheid zelf maken ook burgerinitiatieven gebruik van strategieën. De term strategie veronderstelt iets programmatisch wat doelen en middelen op eenduidige wijze aan elkaar verbindt. Burgerinitiatieven zijn uit op het realiseren van iets, op het beïnvloeden van hun omgeving om hun plan werkelijk te maken. In deze studie worden burgerinitiatieven geanalyseerd.
Landelijk Grondgebruiksbestand Nederland versie 6 (LGN6) : vervaardiging, nauwkeurigheid en gebruik
De snelle veranderingen die zich in Nederland voordoen met betrekking tot het gebruik van ruimte en de conflicterende belangen van veel gebruikers van deze ruimte, zorgen voor een voortdurende behoefte aan actuele geografische bestanden. Eén van deze bestanden is het Landelijke Grondgebruiksbestand Nederland (LGN). Sinds 1986 wordt met een periodiciteit van 3-5 jaar het LGN-bestand geproduceerd. Het LGN6-bestand is een rasterbestand met een resolutie van 25*25 m. Het bestand geeft het Nederlandse landgebruik voor de jaren 2007/2008 weer.
Dimensies van groei in de veehouderij = Dimensions of growth in livestock production
De Provincie Noord-Holland zet in de ontwerp-Structuurvisie (Noord-Holland 2009) in op behoud van een vitale en duurzame agrarische sector, inclusief veehouderij. Deze structuurvisie geeft in specifieke gebieden ook ruimte voor ‘schaalvergroting, structuurverbetering en (mondiaal) concurrerende landbouw’, met minder landschappelijke beperkingen. Grootschalige intensieve (hokgebonden) veehouderij krijgt een specifieke plek in de Wieringermeer.
