The Consultative Group (CG) is GFDRR’s primary decision-making and advisory body.

The Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR) is a global partnership program administered by the World Bank Group. GFDRR supports developing countries to: (i) mainstream disaster risk management and climate change adaptation in development strategies and investment programs, and (ii) improve the quality and timeliness of resilient recovery and reconstruction following a disaster.

The Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity was established (Article 24) to support the goals of the Convention. Its principal functions are to prepare for, and service, meetings of the Conferences of the Parties (COP) and other subsidiary bodies of the Convention, and to coordinate with relevant international bodies.

The UNFCCC entered into force on 21 March 1994. Today, it has near-universal membership. The 197 countries that have ratified the Convention are called Parties to the Convention.

The Adaptation (Ada) Consortium, a core component of the National Drought Management Authority in Kenya is piloting County Climate Change Funds (CCCF) as a Devolved Climate Finance (DCF) mechanism in five arid and semi arid counties of Garissa, Isiolo, Kitui, Makueni and Wajir. The DCF mechanism aims at supporting county governments mainstream climate change in planning and implementation as well as prepare them to access global climate finance in support of adaptation and climate resilient development.

 Fern (also Stichting Fern) is a Dutch foundation created in 1995. It is an international Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) set up to keep track of the European Union's involvement in forests and to coordinate NGO activities at the European level. Through its work, Fern aims to increase the political and economic opportunities for people to create a more balanced society in which human rights are fully respected and environmental and social values are fully integrated.

The International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) is a regional intergovernmental learning and knowledge sharing centre serving the eight regional member countries of the Hindu Kush Himalaya – Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, India, Myanmar, Nepal, and Pakistan – and based in Kathmandu, Nepal. Globalization and climate change have an increasing influence on the stability of fragile mountain ecosystems and the livelihoods of mountain people.

The Kenya Climate Change Knowledge Portal (KCCKP) is a one stop repository of climate change information in Kenya. This is an initiative of the Climate Change Directorate (CCD), the lead agency of the government on national climate change plans and actions. The Climate Change Directorate, will among other duties and functions, serve as the national knowledge and information management centre for collating, verifying, refining, and disseminating knowledge and information on climate change.

A revista Desenvolvimento e Meio Ambiente é editada pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Meio Ambiente e Desenvolvimento (PPGMADE) da Universidade Federal do Paraná (UFPR). The Global Landscapes Forum (GLF) is a multi-stakeholder platform with a global secretariat led by CIFOR and core funding provided by the Government of Germany. The GLF accelerates action towards the creation of productive, prosperous, equitable and climate-resilient landscapes and the achievement of the UNFCCC Paris Agreement and Sustainable Development Goals (Agenda 2030).
