Conscient du fait que les inégalités entre les hommes et les femmes constituent un frein à la promotion des droits humains, à la réduction de la pauvreté, à la croissance économique et au développement durable, le Burkina Faso a adopté la Politique Nationale de Genre (PNG).
Confronté à des difficultés d’ordre technique, institutionnel, politique et juridique, socio-économique et environnemental dans le secteur de l’élevage, le Burkina Faso a élaboré la Politique Nationale de Développement durable de l’Elevage(PNDEL) pour la période 2010-2025, à travers une approche participative et inclusive.

El Plan Nacional para la Igualdad de Oportunidades es una estrategia de desarrollo con enfoque de género, de carácter multisectorial y alcance nacional, cuya premisa es el reconocimiento del aporte de las mujeres al desarrollo del país. Este reconocimiento implica promover igualdad de oportunidades de las mujeres para el acceso a los servicios públicos, su plena participación en espacios de decisión, en la distribución equitativa de los recursos económicos, tecnológicos y patrimoniales, y en la eliminación de todas las formas de violencia contra las mujeres en razón de género.
